In Italy, it is lovingly said as a recognition of just that. Love. Meaning "my mother". But modern (probably American) translation has turned it into an "oh my", leaving out any similarities referring to a mother. I like the reference to "my mama". There's plenty of other words we can use in defining stark or surprising situations. Let's leave the Mia to Mother.
Today, "Mama Mia", appeared to three innocent children in a lonely field, a small village of Fatima. We celebrate our Lady of Fatima today. How blessed we are as Catholics to have Her in our arsenal.
Mary is so powerful! Only but one word on our behalf can change everything of God's judgment for a situation. He loves Her with an undying childlike love. We must never ever forget that God is Jesus and that Love has born and radiates the Holy Spirit. All three connected perfectly to form One God. God chose the existence of the Second person in Him as Jesus. Born of a human woman to take on our very nature. That human woman enabled God to feel our humanity. Our Faith is one phenomenon after another. We are blessed to have our Catholic faith where believing is seeing. The Bible accounts of our great God in the Old testament and ever so triumphantly moving into the New testament proves we have a God with a plan. That plan included each and every one of us.
Mamma Mia was and is part of that plan. She fulfills Him. Just as He fulfills Her.
Today, remember our Mother Mary with an extra thought of Love and let every day be Mother's Day in honor of Her. For our Mama Mia loves us with an undying Love created with every bit of Her being. We love you Blessed Mother. Thank you for being our Mother too.
