St Mark's amazing gospel
Life can sometimes feel like a giant courtroom. Satan (the accuser), on one side and God and our guardian angel (our attorney and judge) on the other. If we only realized how many times the evil one wants us to fail or get us in trouble, we would never ever stay away from the Sacraments. Our stabilizers. Our strength. The only thing that is strong enough against the empty prompts of the accuser. Our humility and sorrow for our sins regularly met in confession, grants us Grace which gives us the armor to fight against the accuser.
The accuser leads us into the trap and then slowly creeps away to let us take all of the heat. He laughs as we try to defend ourselves, with us full well knowing that we should have listened to the voice of God or our Guardian Angel. The voice that was telling us to come immediately to God's side. It is only when we feel those arrows of accusation, that we can truly act and do the right thing as in turning away from the accuser. Turning our hearts around and letting Jesus take our hand and lead us away from danger.
Like I said before. Life can feel like a giant courtroom, until the real courtroom of Heaven is evident after we die. Only that time it will be "us" as the accuser, with no one else but ourselves to blame.
Use this courtroom on Earth to get things right. Our sentence is much lighter now than it will be after we die and our great God the Judge deems our sentence as harsh. All for listening to the accuser of Earth. Don't let the accuser of this passing world drive us into a dark hole. See the Light and stay in it. That way, the accuser has nowhere to hide and we can be led easily by the path that is illuminated by the Laws of Heaven.
