Is advertising an effective way to get people to revisit their Catholic faith?

Based on the results of two pilot programs conducted by CatholicsComeHome.org in Phoenix and Corpus Christi, the answer is yes. Advertising is a powerful and highly effective way to reach fellow Catholics and others. After the CatholicsComeHome.org pilot campaign, parishes in Phoenix, Chicago, Corpus Christi etc  reported as many as 200,000 Catholics who returned to the Church in those cities alone.

Isn’t it the role of the Catholic Church to get Catholics to participate in the Church more? Why would committed people want to

take on this job?

Yes it is, and it’s every Catholics role to share the faith with others. TV advertising is expensive, and the Church itself doesn’t have funds available to support such an effort on its own. We believe our collective committed expertise in the business and technology industries can augment what local dioceses are doing and achieve our goal of encouraging fellow Catholics to revisit their faith.
