HOW HIGH IS THE WATER, MAMMA?

As you know, its been raining, and it there is historic flooding BAD along the rivers. For some of us it has been raining and flooding in the waters of our lives too.
A good brother sent this message to me and the quotes from Scripture filled my heart with joy.
(Isaiah), 28:2] Behold the Lord is mighty and strong, as a storm of hail: a destroying whirlwind, as the violence of many waters overflowing, and sent forth upon a spacious land.
(Jeremiah),23:19] Behold the whirlwind of the Lord's indignation shall come forth, and a tempest shall break out and come upon the head of the wicked.
(Jeremiah),30:23-24] Behold the whirlwind of the Lord, his fury going forth, a violent storm, it shall rest upon the head of the wicked. [24] The Lord will not turn away the wrath of his indignation, till he have executed and performed the thought of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand these things.
Some may say God does not "Will bad or evil"--and you would be right. However due to the gift of free will---God ALLOWS all that comes into our life as the result of our and all of mankind's choices. And God uses all in our life to teach, to discipline and gift us with Wisdom and Understanding, Compassion, Discernment, Faith, Hope, Love, Joy Peace. In other words, Pentecost or experiencing the Holy Spirit can come in the many ways that wind, water and fires can come into our life. When we are open and trust in God's love and faithfulness in keeping His Promises, that is.
Happy stormy days to all. Keep looking for the rainbows, dance in the rain and Praise God in ALL things, even if you don't understand why they come your way.

Born the youngest of nine children, raised VERY Catholic across the street from Immaculate Heart of Mary church and school—Mom and Dad led by example and word their FAITH in God and saw to it that I was given 12 years of Catholic Education. (Mount St. Mary’s Academy/1965)
But, most importantly, because of my parents’ spiritual renewal after attending Cursillo Weekends, I too went on a retreat at our beloved Subiaco Abbey in Arkansas and there, at age 20, gave my life totally, surrendering all to my Lord and best Friend. This was my “Pentecostal” event that left me, like all the early Christians, on fire with God’s love and forever changed.
My husband Robert and I have been married for 52 this year in a marriage arranged by God. We have 8 children, two in heaven, 24 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. The story of our life together can be found in a book titled “My Journey, My Cross-As the Journals End,” published by Westbow Press . Our life together has been one awesome up and down roller coaster ride which enriched my heart with so many of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have found that the only way, Wisdom, Understanding, Words of Knowledge, Discernment, and Healing can be received is first by experiencing in your life the hurts of others. (and you yourself a sword will pierce)* so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2 v 35.
God has blessed me also many other talents and skills--but sometimes, blessings/gifts can and have caused problems or conflict in my life, as I am human and all too quickly that part of me shows up. Thank You God that You also show up!
