Christmas comes but once a year,
The bells they ring we want to hear,
We stand aloof our voices cheer,
No more will gloom behold our fear.
Angels hover o’re you and me,
A great sign appears for all to see,
Prophets and Seers announced with glee,
Jesus Christ is born to set us free.
Heavenly anthems proclaim to all,
The Father’s promise from the Fall,
Arise you sinners do not forestall,
Today I free you now stand tall.
Christmas comes again to say,
Our ears hear the bells so gay,
Sing out in song as we pray,
Lift up your hearts this glorious day.
