Life is not all uphill,

Life is ups and downs.

La vida no es una cuesta arriba, la vida son subidas y bajadas.

Life takes you to the top, and then throws you down, so unexpectedly, without warning, it just releases you from above.

La vida te sube a la cima, para luego tirarte en la bajada, así inesperadamente, sin avisos ni advertencias, te suelta desde arriba.

The daily struggle does not take you away from the chasm, the ascent is temporary.

a lucha cotidiana no te aleja de la sima, solo es temporal la subida.

Nothing is forever, neither the rise, nor the descent, then there is the lifelong consolation that if we don't like it, it's only one descent and that it won’t last long.

Y como nada es para siempre, ni la subida, ni la bajada, el consuelo es de por vida que si no nos gusta, sólo es un rato de bajada.

But the wonder of having started below, is to value the stay at the top, while it lasts, while it is worth it.

Pero la maravilla de haber empezado abajo, es valorar la estancia en la cima, mientras dure, mientras valga.

And the ones who were born above, enjoy their short stay, because without a doubt, their next step will be to descend.

Y el que nació arriba, que goce de su corta estancia, porque sin duda, su siguiente paso, será el de bajada.

And, when you understand that life is like that, it climbs up and goes down, not only up nor down, then you will smile while you live, knowing that the slopes are not ends, but the end is to walk more hills, nor up, nor down.

Hasta que lo temporal se haga eterno, sin subidas ni bajadas y la vida sea eterna desde arriba muy arriba sin bajadas.
