The Power of Praying the Rosary!

     Let us first start, though, with the POWER OF PRAYER, as we should.  For the power of Prayer leads into the power of the Rosary.
Prayer is seeking God, talking to God and connecting with God. 
There are different forms of prayer.  Scripture reading or praying the Scripture is very important, for Scripture says the "Word of God is your sword!" So you definitely want that sword/Word in your heart as you deal with the struggles of the day and the temptations that come your way. (Suggestion read one Psalm a day,  then a chapter of Isaiah a day.)  Go to Mass as much as you can too, for then you are really entering into His Presence, hearing His Word spoken, and taking Jesus when you leave!!
   Mini prayers, or ejaculations.  Like the Jesus Prayer.  "Jesus have mercy on us" or "My Jesus I trust in You."  Or simply "WOW GOD WOW" prayer of praise.  Or, "Thank you God", "Come Holy Spirit" or "Help, Jesus help."  Any of these prayers can help you to "Give thanks in all things, rejoice always and pray without ceasing," through out the day as your day goes by.
   But the power of the Rosary is what you really wanted to read about.
The Rosary does several things that involve all of the above.  It starts with stating the beliefs found from Scripture.  The Apostles Creed.   It Continues with the prayer Jesus taught, The Lord's Prayer.   Then on with the repeated Hail Mary prayer, which is speaking words from Scripture.  Half of the Hail Mary is words spoken by Angel Gabriel to Mary: a fact,  most of you know already.  Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit for THIS form of prayer--the Rosary!   Each of the main prayers of the Rosary can be prayed one at a time all the day long too. Did you know that the beginning roots of the Rosary came from monks praying 150 Psalms everyday and using beads to keep track.  The Psalms later were replaced by the Ave's for the faithful who did not know the Psalms by heart as the monks did.
    What makes the Rosary so powerful, is that we are joining our prayers with all the angels and saints, the poor souls in Purgatory, and with our Blessed Mother.  WE are told that where two or three agree here on earth it is agreed upon in Heaven.  So considering that daily the rosary is being said all over the world by millions of those who BELIEVE---well you can only imagine the power of these joint prayers.   ALL saying the same Scriptural WORDS and BELIEVING that they are being heard!!
    This is very importan when we pray--PRAY BELIEVING!!  If we pray with only the lips, then we pray in vain which is 'taking the Lord's Name in vain.  Ouch!! 
   Here is how to make your Rosary a very powerful prayer.  Start with connecting with God---oh we do that with the Sign of the Cross Prayer!!  Then ask that all the angels, saints and poor souls join with your as you pray.  Then ask the Holy Spirt to fill you with His gifts needed to bring to your mind and HEART all those who need your prayers.  We want to pray deeply desiring that whoever we pray for is really being helped.   FInally as you pray the Hail Marys, put names in that final line---Pray for _____now and at the hour of their deaths--AMEN. 
   Make the time praying the Rosary very personal to eliminate praying robotically.
    Let us start then today, joining with the millions lifting up our family, friends, leaders, Church, our country and the needs of the world as we pray this most powerful prayer---the Rosary.   It is CRUCIAL!!   
    Our Blessed Mother pleads for us to "pray, my children, pray." For she and God know fully well what is to come and how important it is that we be praying for our world today and the conversion of those who do not know or believe as we do--before it is too late.
