Calvary

Hasten ye reversion
or nay
unfetter thy perception
for all about
Calvary reigns

within thy midst
focal point aloft
our Lord
and all round
there dwell we

delve deeper
hone thy focus
appoint ye orbs
unfurled mystery
elevated for all

for behold
treble roods
one our Lord’s
aptly astride glory
there dwell we

for ‘tis we
who choose casually
who deliberate daily
to accept Life
via our ways

for ‘tis we
who choose coolly
who deduce daily
to condemn Truth
via our ideals

for ‘tis we
who choose collectively
who decide daily
to crucify Him
via our deeds

…each dawn
at Life’s crux
Calvary reigns
and all round
there dwell we

dual thieves we
bound by vice
loosed via volition
truth our light
Calvary our way.
