What lies behind the Amazon Synod
As goes a famous expression: "There are decades in which nothing happens and weeks in which decades happen." And here we are, in the heat of such a moment.
Coronavirus hit the United States and every public Mass was canceled while the media and public officials unleashed a panic onto the nation. Then, there was the tragic incident in Minneapolis in which a police officer’s excessive force lead to the death of George Floyd. From this event, anarchy and riots ensued in the streets of America. With a bird’s eye view of the problematic responses to COVID and Floyd’s death, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano is now issuing dire warnings much like a shepherd sounding the alarm that a wolf is approaching the sheep.
Archbishop Vigano gained popularity as a whistleblower in September 2018 when he issued a letter indicating that senior prelates have been complicit in covering up sexual abuse by ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick. In his explosive 2018 testimony, Vigano called for the resignation of Pope Francis.
Archbishop Vigano was the former papal nuncio from the Vatican under Pope Benedict XVI to Washington, D.C. He essentially was the ambassador of the pope to America. The Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. was ground zero for the evil and corruption of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick. Vigano was aware that Benedict XVI placed restrictions on McCarrick, but his declaration revealed that it was Pope Francis that reinstated McCarrick and undid the groundwork in removing McCarrick. Vigano’s testimony acted as the moment in which he took the lid off the pot to show all the disgusting deeds of McCarrick and the liberal hierarchy in the Church that allowed McCarrick to advance his demonic lifestyle.
Now, Archbishop Vigano is advancing as a courageous shepherd that is not afraid to call out the fake Judas shepherds masquerading around in the Church.
Since his 2018 letters, Vigano has been publishing various writings that are critical of the current state of the Church. He even helped author an appeal in May that warned of the problematic nature of the coronavirus response. Just recently, he wrote a historic open letter to President Trump warning him of the larger spiritual battle ensuing. Speaking in apocalyptic terms, Vigano commends Trump for fighting "the deep state," which the archbishop aligns with "the children of darkness."
The letter was well received by the President as he tweeted that he was honored to receive it and encouraged others to read it.
In the letter, Vigano warns Trump of not only an infiltration in a deep state but also an infiltration into the “deep church.” Therefore, Vigano is signaling that both our government and Christ’s Church has been infiltrated by the powers of darkness.
In order to see this, one needs to grasp the spiritual concept in every idea. That is, every idea or teaching ultimately has a source from which it originated from. From the eternal vantage point, an idea either comes from God or comes from a demonic source. Being in the middle of a fallen creation, we humans have a hard time ascertaining which idea comes from which source. However, God provides us certain situations in which this spiritual fuzziness becomes clearer. Here, enters our world today and Archbishop Vigano.
What Vigano is doing is sounding the alarm that if you want to know what 1933 Germany looked like when the Nazi’s took control, just look out at our world - businesses wrecked, censorship, churches burned and told they need to remain shut. In Germany, there was a seizure of power with armed thugs patrolling the streets and a propaganda machine in the media enabling it. History appears to be repeating as we head into the 2020 election.
In the letter, Vigano outlines the great spiritual battle before us and draws a line in the sand to clearly mark who’s on which side. He refers to Genesis 3:15 in which after original sin, God says he will place enmity between the woman's seeds and the serpent's seed. This is the great division between good and evil, the elect and the damn, the saints and the unrepentant sinners. He goes on to identify the good in that they are motivated in belief of God and the desire to live decent lives. He then distinguishes that those that fall trap to the serpent's seeds as "those who serve themselves, who do not hold moral principles, who want to demolish the family, and the nation, exploit workers to make themselves wealthy, foment internal division and accumulate power" (see 1 John 3:10). He articulates that if these people "do not repent" they will alienate themselves far from God in eternal damnation.
The children of light and children of darkness phrase harken back to the division of fallen angels in the angelic choir and even back to the division of men. In the spiritual realm, there exists a great war between good and evil. St. Paul refers to this battle as “spiritual warfare” (Eph. 6:10-20). While this battle of ideas has been going on since the beginning, right now is a "dramatic and decisive hour for all of humanity" according to Vigano. His assertion is because the infiltration of demonic elements in the state and in the Church has risen to the surface for all to see, this spiritual warfare is becoming more front and center. Therefore, the crisis in 2020 is making it more clear who the good guys are and who the bad guys are.
After defining the sides of good and evil, he then remarks on how the “children of darkness” are identified with the corrupt leaders of government in the “deep state.” The people of the deep state consists of the elites in politics, the economy, and the media. Vigano plants them as using the covid emergency for a dubious social engineering project. But, seeing that the covid emergency is fading, Vigano suggests that the riots were provoked in order to continue to carry out the colossal social engineering project of the deep state. As he states, “It is quite clear that the use of street protests is instrumental to the purposes of those who would like to see someone elected in the upcoming presidential elections who embodies the goals of the deep state.” Here, is where Vigano’s letter gets interesting. He alludes to a demonic source hidden behind these riots when he states, “Solve et Coagula, as the Masonic adage teaches.”
This phrase refers to a satanic demon called Baphomet. Baphomet is an androgynous creature that is worshiped by a variety of occultic groups. What is significant about the demon Baphomet is that tattooed on his arms is the Latin phrase “solve et coagula.”
Solve means to dissolve or to loosen up. Coagula means to thicken or build up. This phrase goes back to a concept called alchemy. Alchemy is a school of philosophy that uses an allegory of turning base metals (e.g. lead) into gold. So, alchemy is a sophisticated trick that allows the philosopher to turn something purely human (lead) into divine (gold). Ultimately, this is the satanic lie where Satan said that he will be a god unto himself. Lucifer wanted to take his lower angelic nature and turn it into God. This was done not with God's grace, or God's mercy, but solely through Lucifer’s own self-power. Under this demonic philosophy, one utilizes his own way to the divine.
As Satan fell to earth, he used the same alchemy lie to the man and woman in that "you will be like gods" without needing God's grace. The lie of alchemy is that without God, but rather through magic, mysticism, and creative philosophy, human nature can be transformed into divine nature. This motto of alchemy is the phrase “Solve et Coagula.”
Under solve et coagula you dissolve (solve) God's teaching and God’s economy of creation. Once you dissolve it, you then bring it back together as something different (coagula). Therefore, this demonic slogan is about transforming society by demolishing the established way and ushering a new, foreign way.
So, the demonic is using the riots and the covid virus in hope to dissolve America as it was made and as we know it. After it is disbanded, the country will then go through a new system to create what Karl Marx envisioned – a man-made socialist system that ushers in a utopia in which God is removed and man is elevated to the divine.
In comparing the “deep state” to the “deep church,” Vigano is alluding that this dissolving of God’s formula and building back up as a man-made system is happening also in the Church today. It is no wonder as Vigano has been critical of The Second Vatican Council. In another letter, Vigano insinuates that Vatican II was the Church’s dissolve moment. The “build it up” moment is the “parallel church” that acts as a counterfeit church to authentic Catholicism.
Catholics believe that the deposit of faith was given by Jesus to the apostles. The job of the Church is to conserve this deposit and not to change it (cf. 2 Thes 2:15). Christ gave us the Church and her teachings - it can never be changed. As Hebrews declares, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8).
Therefore, the doctrine and the morals of the Church can never be updated or edited to suit man’s modern desires much like 2+2=4 cannot be modified to a “new” result. However, the occult continuously wants to dissolve genuine Catholicism and to bring it back together to resemble a modern knock off.
The same concept that applies to the Church applies to the founding and functioning of this country. America was founded as a republic with a limited government, free-market system, with God-given individual liberties centered around a Catholic-Christian philosophy. However, there are individuals that have taken up positions of authority in the government, the media, the economy, and academia that want to tear-down this country and build up a socialist system that flips America’s founding on its head.
In Vigano’s line of a “dissolution of the social order so as to build a world without freedom,” he is basically saying to Trump that the Baphoment demon is behind all this chaos. He is behind the media hype and the riots. These riots are dissolving the American society. They are creating a division of class warfare and race warfare. This is the division Marx wanted with the workers' revolution but never got.
To understand Vigano’s thought process, we have to grasp the how and why of socialism. While socialism dates back to Karl Marx, the most recent adherent to socialism is Saul Alinsky. Interestingly, Alinsky dedicated his book, Rules For Radicals, to the devil. In his opening pages, Alinsky wrote, "Lest we forget at-least and over the shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical . . . the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively at least he won his own kingdom - Lucifer."
If Alinsky dedicated his manifesto to the devil, this means that his whole leftist philosophy has a demonic source.
One of Alinsky's rules is to create a division among people. This was a play directly from Marx's playbook. Marx wanted to create a division between "the haves" and "the have not's" so as to use the "have not's" as a battering ram to destroy "the haves" along with the system itself. Alinsky knew that Marx's workers' revolt wouldn't take-off in the U.S. as the common worker in the country didn't resent his boss or the rich. Rather, the average worker worked hard in order to climb the ladder of prosperity. Instead of sowing a worker's revolt, Alinsky wanted to sow a class and race revolt. A telltale sign of a demonic influence is to create division. True, Jesus said he came to cause division (see Luke 12:51), but according to St. Ambrose, the division Jesus is referring to in the "house" is dividing the "house of God," with the "house of the devil." So, Jesus' division is the necessary division between good and bad, whereas the devil sows division between the good in which there really isn't a division. In other words, the devil creates a division in which one doesn't naturally exist. He does this to cause a destruction within the good, thus turning good to evil.
You might assume that there is a real racial division within the world. However, we need to state the obvious fact - the human race is one race. Scientifically speaking, there are no multiple races of separate humans within the world. National Geographic ran an article titled, "There's No Scientific Basis for Race." The article articulates how different races in humans has been used to define people and separate us. However, the concept of multiple human races is not true genetically. Rather, one's skin color is a result of the geographic location in which one's ancestors came from. So, it is more accurate to define differences between ethnicity or origin and not race. Therefore, the concept of "race division" is a myth scientifically. But, the media and academia persist that African-Americans are receiving "systematic racism" in that they are constantly seeing an unfair disadvantage. However, with the existence of affirmative action in the 80s, if your skin color is in the minority, then you'll be instantly moved ahead of the line for a job application, college application, and so on.
Well, then what about the police targeting those who are black? This too has been shown to be a fraud. A “deadly force” study by Washington State University found that police officers were less likely to shoot unarmed black suspects than unarmed white or Hispanic ones in simulated threat scenarios. Harvard professor Roland Fryer analyzed more than 1,000 officer-involved shootings across the country. He concluded that there is zero evidence of racial bias in police shootings. In Houston, he found that blacks were 24 percent less likely than whites to be shot by officers even though the suspects were armed or violent.
As black author, Larry Elder writes, "There is no epidemic' of racist cops killing black suspects." Elder goes on to show that, "In recent years, the police have averaged killing about 1,000 Americans per year. Of that number, half are white and one-quarter are black, with the race of remaining suspects of another race or unknown. Of the approximately 1,000 killed by cops, less than 4% involve a white officer and an unarmed black man. Recent studies not only find no 'systemic' abuse of black suspects by the cops, but if anything, cops are more hesitant, more reluctant, to use deadly force against a black suspect than against a white suspect."
Furthermore, the Manhattan Institute's Heather MacDonald writes: "Regarding threats to blacks from the police: A police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer."
Prominent African-American thinkers see right through the media ploy of "systematic racism" as an artificial narrative to create a division in this country to destroy it (i.e. dissolve it). Below are recent tweets of a variety of African-American writers.
“One of the big #FakeNews narratives is that ‘institutional,’ ‘structural’ and ‘systemic’ racism remain a major problem in America, when, in fact, race has never been a more insignificant barrier to success in America.” – Larry Elder
“There is nothing white liberals fear more than a God fearing, educated, black man. No my friends...there is no systemic racism in America...just Systemic 'Marxist Elitism'...an evil that uses, abuses and discards anyone for power.” – Burgess Owens
"Don’t let the media fool you! The majority of Americans support the police. Do not support the destroying of their city. The biggest problem with growing up black in America… is not racism, police brutality, or black on black crime… It’s the Mental Brainwashing.” – Brandon Tatum
"Black activists and white progressives stress racism because it serves their own interests, not because it actually improves the station of blacks.” – Jason Riley
Moreover, black author Taleeb Starks analysis, as well as other black thinkers such as Derryck Green, Star Parker, and Carol Swain show that if anything is holding down African Americans, it is progressive principles outlined in the Democratic Party.
The two groups that are on the ground creating the riots are Antifa and Black Lives Matter. While their names may seem harmless, their ideologies serve to destroy the fabric of America and the moral sphere in the Christian way of life. In the "we believe" section of Black Lives Matter, they readily admit they want to destroy the concept of the nuclear family, and instead have the state (what they call "villages") play a more prominent role in raising children. They also affirm the self-worship concept of human sexuality in which the individual decides their biological makeup, the destruction of the free-market system along with dismantling law enforcement with their "defund the police" slogan.
Again, there are many in the African-American community that are beginning to see through the con of this group. As a prominent black pastor warns: "Black Lives Matter is a lie, and merely used as a battering ram so progressive ideas can usher in a socialist society." A civil rights leader, Niger Innis, warned that BLM brings a Marxist philosophy that will eventually ruin black communities.
What Alinsky's radicals don't see is that capitalism is the greatest force for lifting people out of poverty while socialism is the main culprit for putting people in poverty.
Therefore, the race issue is really a cover in order to sneak in socialism within both the deep state and the deep church. There is no race war, but there is an ideology war - and this battle of ideas has been going on since a certain incident in Eden.
All the chaos in 2020 can be attributed to the "solve et coagula Vigano refers to. The definition of anarchist is “a person who promotes disorder or excites revolt against any established rule, law, or custom.” Demons are attracted to disorder and promote rebellion and revolt against lawful authority. But the actual activity of the demon, while originating supernaturally, plays out through human agents in the natural world. Order and peace are from God, so their opposites — disorder and war are demonic in their origins.
What these "children of darkness" want to do is destroy the authentic American and Christian foundation in society and build it back up again through a socialistic empire. They want to dissolve the police - defund the police. They want to dissolve the free market system. They want to dissolve the concepts of life, liberty, and property that our country was founded on. They want to dissolve the influence of religion and churches in this country. They want to dissolve the concept of the family and have the state act as a surrogate family. They want to destroy the concept of marriage as we know it to make marriage between anyone or anything.
They want to take the Church and her liturgy and dissolve it. And then rebuild it into something that honors not Jesus Christ but honors a man-mad idea.
We don't dissolve the Church we preserve and conserve her - so too with our country. We are in the business of conserving - that is what a conservative does. It conserves the good that God has given us. It doesn't need to be ripped down and destroyed every ten years and rebuilt. The Church that Christ gave us with the Sacraments, the Bible, the morality, the doctrine - is all perfect. Since it is a deposit that Christ gave us, it acts as a sacred recipe that doesn't need to be updated to appease our modern desires.
Here we are in the midst of a crisis. Yet, a crisis calls for one to go deeper into the faith. As Vigano concludes his message tp the President, he calls for the "children of light" to unite and have their voices heard. But, the secret weapon the Archbishop calls for is not protesting in the streets, it is, in fact, prayer. As he states, "Before the power of prayer, the deceptions of the children of darkness will collapse, their plots will be revealed, their betrayal will be shown, their frightening power will end in nothing."
Vigano's letter acts as a soldier standing on top of the watchtower sounding the alarm of an approaching enemy. Even though we are smack dab in the middle of this epic spiritual battle, God gives us a glimpse of the end - the good guys win. So, get in the battle and join the winning team.
