A Vote For Life

GK Chesterton once said, "Those who say you can't talk about politics and religion are removing the two most intriguing things worth talking about." Like it or not, the drama playing out in 2020 is drenched with these two topics intertwined.

If we back up to the year 1917, we'll get a running-start to our situation today. The apparitions of the Blessed Mother at Fatima are arguably the most well-documented and renown of all the Marian visions. In Fatima, Portugal the Mother of God came to planet earth in 1917 and delivered a message to three shepherd children in which she prophesied about drastic future perils should mankind not alter his trajectory back towards God.

Lucia, being the last remaining child of the Fatima visionary knew the seriousness of the times and what is at stake. In 1984, Sister Lucia replied to Father Caffarra's letter and wrote him, "The final battle between the Lord and the kingdom of Satan will be about marriage and the family." Father Caffarra eventually became Cardinal Caffarra. Before he passed in 2017, Caffarra warned that Lucia's letter indicated how Satan is attempting to destroy the two pillars of creation (marriage and family), so as to fashion his own "anti-creation." Caffarra mentioned in this battle, the woman is "the human being who must be defended the most."

The devil always takes what is divine and subverts it into its repugnant opposite. When it comes to the family, the devil is hell-bent on splitting the family against each other. Specifically as it relates to the woman - wife against husband, and perversely mother against child.

In the natural form of a mother, a woman is one who brings forth life. She holds the power of birthing an eternal soul into the world that will outlast the universe itself. But, if the devil can make a woman go from one who brings forth life to now one who generates death in her, he'll have accomplished his horrid "anti-creation." Here, we come into the instrument that allows a mother to go from life creator to now death inducer today - abortion. We see that abortion is reversing the concept of love on its head. If love is to sacrifice the self for the good of the other, abortion is the opposite repudiation in which the mother sacrifices the child for the comfort of the self. More head-flipping remains with abortion in which the divine becomes repugnantly inverted. Whereas Jesus announces "this is my body given up for you" abortion has the woman perversely chant "this is my body" in which I will kill you for disrupting what I want. Therefore, the demonic has implanted his vile anti-creation in which the blood sacrifice of Christ to remove human sin morphs into a blood sacrifice of babies to enhance one's selfish desires.

Abortion's demonic roots are communicated by former Satanist high-priest turned Catholic Zachary King. In his book bluntly titled, Abortion is a Satanic Sacrifice, King delves into a gruesome tell-all account of his experience in using abortion as a blood ritual for the devil. As King acknowledged, "Killing something is the ultimate offering to Satan, and if you can kill an unborn, that is his ultimate goal." King's description of the procedure in which limbs of a fragile baby is gobbled up into a life-sucking machine parallels the horrid apparatus of the cruel death that demons crave.

King's book echoes feminist Ginette Paris' book in which she candidly outlines the dark under-belly of abortion. Her title in the book says it all, The Sacrament of Abortion.

The abortion-demonic link was recently articulated by The Satanic Temple (TST). TST openly claimed that abortion is a religious rite for them. Thus, their "practices" of abortion rituals should be protected under state's religious right clauses.

This isn't the first time those in Satanic groups have explicitly identified their cause with abortion. In 2013, abortion supporters chanted "hail satan" in an attempt to drown out pro-lifers singing Amazing Grace. In 2016, a group of Satanists staged a bizarre, blasphemous counter protest to a group of pro-lifers. Also in 2016, an abortion doctor came outside his clinic to harass a pro-life sidewalk counselor by pretending to be a demon, saying, "I love killing babies." And just this past summer, a Satanic Temple in Detroit held a fundraising campaign in which, the grand prize was — a free abortion.

The vile and perverse practice of abortion, in fact, have been going on since Biblical times – just under a different name. Nevertheless, both produced the same dark results – a violent death of children to appease a god (today's god being sexual and parental "freedom").

Archeologists have discovered remnants that illustrate that the body of the Cainites' god, Molech, was essentially a fire pit for killing children in some ritualistic service. We know from the Biblical account that child sacrifice to Ba'al or Molech was viewed as a grotesque sacrilege before God (see 2 Kings 23:10, 2 Chronicles 28:3, 2 Chronicles 33:6, Jeremiah 7:31-32, Jeremiah 19:2-5, Jeremiah 32:35).

Today, we now are coming into a major part of this ritualistic blood sacrifice of children perversely paralleling the true, holy sacrifice of Jesus at the cross. As this spiritual battle has picked up speed the last few decades, many in the Church are calling the alarm that the upcoming presidential election will play a prominent role in the epoch of this battle.

Archbishop Viganò views the events leading up to the U.S. election in which we mirror St. Paul's Second Letter to the Thessalonians — speaking of the forces of evil which would proceed the appearance of the Antichrist. In an interview published in an Italian Journal, Vigano states "The destinies of the world are at stake" in this election. According to Vigano, a Biden victory would signal that a new world order that embodies this anti-creation culture would be unleashed onto society.

German Cardinal Gerhard Muller has also warned "The outcome of the U.S. election will determine whether the U.S. remains the leading power in the world — for freedom and democracy — or whether a communist dictatorship will assume that role for the global community."

Many members within the Church are sounding warnings that supporting the Democratic ticket is now highly suspect in the spiritual clash we are in. From Bishop Stika, Cardinal Burke, Fr. Altman, Fr. Orsi, and Bishop Paprocki these courageous shepherds are calling bluff and foul to those Catholics who align themselves to a group that promotes abortion.

Now, why, today, are we confronting a crucial battle in civilization? We typically don't have Cardinals and Bishops from around the world insinuate that a U.S. election will cause such a significant turn in the cosmic spiritual combat of good and evil. We must now see that this anti-creation clash Cardinal Caffarra warns of is drawing closer. And the first aspect of this anti-creation is death of the smallest, most fragile and most innocent - the unborn.

Fittingly, October is known as respect life month in the U.S. Church. And as timing has it, the upcoming election has much to say about the "life" debate.

As Cardinal Muller mentioned on the looming election, "Three points are decisive in the upcoming elections," First, the ‘yes' to life against abortion, second, freedom of religion against the mainstreaming of gender ideology, and third, the mission of the United States to defend democracy and human rights against dictatorships."

What these brave men in the Church are doing is alluding to the fact that if the confusion of death and life is drenched into our society, everything else in God's economy of creation is going to fall. All human activity flows from the concept of where life originates from (God) and where death of the innocent comes from (devil). If a mother is turned from a live-giver to now a legal death producer to the tune of 63 million dead babies, without so much of electoral pushback, we have slipped into a sick society. However, in this election with a Supreme Court Justice spot in play and as many have said the most pro-life president in history, the tide might now be turning in favor of the unborn life.

Typically, most Catholics assert we can't be a one issue voter. However, logic always holds a single starting point. All human issues in the world inevitably come from a person first receiving life. Therefore, the question of life or no life for the unborn is the starting point – the one issue from which all other issues flow from. As Bishop Strickland commented, "If you don't have the right to life, what other right are you going to have?" If one were to dismiss this right, the other rights are necessarily gone too. It makes no sense to tell a dead child about their "right" to free health care. As Pope John Paul II declared, "the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture-is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition for all other personal rights is not defended with maximum determination" (CL, no. 38).

Moreover, what life is more special than an innocent baby who can't do anything for himself. And what place should be more protected and peaceful than a mother's womb to care and comfort that baby. Knowing all this, the demonic uses abortion to rupture what is divine into a revolting version of it. Through certain political figures the demonic continues to forge ahead into his culture of death. However, through other people God can halt this anti-creation and usher in more light into his creation.

When it comes to abortion this election presents two candidates that are polar opposite. A simple comparison of the Republican Party platform's website and the Democrat Party platform site reveals where each stands on the life matter. The RNC platform states, "we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life that cannot be infringed." The DNC platform is silent on the sanctity of life but rather vocal when it comes to abortion. As they state, "every woman should be able to have access to abortion services" and goes on to further declare "we will restore federal funding for Planned Parenthood." When it comes to appointing judges the RNC "supports the appointment of judges who respect traditional family values and the sanctity of innocent human life" whereas the DNC appointment of judges is based on those who "will respect and enforce foundation principles including . . . Roe v. Wade."

Joe Biden is in lock-step with the views of the DNC. In the 2007 primary debate, he said he "strongly supports Roe v. Wade." He supports federal funding of abortion and has voted against the "Born Alive Bill." And in a recent town hall meeting, he bluntly said he would "make Roe [abortion] "the law of the land."

Biden also voted no on notifying parents of minors who get an out-of-state abortion. He voted no on maintaining the ban on military base abortions and voted no on eliminating federal funding on abortion. Therefore, Biden's view is killing babies should be common, frequent, and a given right.

President Trump, on the other hand, holds a long list of actions that work to protect life and reduce the spread of the abortion industry.

What does the stark difference of the abortion debate of Democrats and Republicans have to do with Catholicism and the spiritual clash of good versus evil? Everything – given evidence illuminates that abortion is tied to a demonic source, and that it ruptures the makeup of the human family, we now are thrust into the center of this battle.

As Father James Altman poetically described, one cannot be authentically Catholic and Democrat at the same time. Why? Because their respected views on right to life are unable co-exist much like the contradictory phrase "married-bachelor" is a no go in logic.

The Second Vatican Council affirmed, "Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes" (Vatican Council II, Gaudium et Spes, 51).

Moreover, the Catechism of the Catholic Church states in a straight-forward manner, "Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law. . . Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life" (CCC 2271-2272).

With specific reference to abortion laws and voting, Pope St. John Paul II wrote, "In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to take part in a propaganda campaign in favor of such a law, or vote for it."

Most recently, the U.S. Bishops Conference alluded to the pressing need over the right to life issue by declaring that "identifying the protection of the unborn as a preeminent priority." As it relates to the attack on the family, the document went on to say that abortion "remains our preeminent priority because it directly attacks life itself, because it takes place within the sanctuary of the family, and because of the number of lives destroyed."

Here, the Church leaves no wiggle room as to what takes priority – unborn life and the family. That is, a child's life takes precedence over a woman's choice to be pregnant or not.

Father William Smith once alluded that when it comes to religion, politics is like a football game. The Catholic team wants to advance the football to make a touchdown and eventually win the game - save more souls. So, the question one must ask - which party platform will allow the faith to gain yards and which platform consistently calls penalties in which the Catholic team loses yardage. In politics, there is likely never going to get a perfect candidate, but instead of being nitpicky about a candidate's personality or demeanor one rather has to look at the party platform and ask - does it allow you to incrementally gain yards in your cause to save souls and live the faith or does it move you back in frustration.

Even if Biden is Catholic (according to his Baptism) this becomes irrelevant to actual Catholics as his political record is far removed from actual Catholic teaching. This is why he's been refused Communion in South Carolina and why Cardinal Muller opined, "It is better to vote for a good Protestant than a bad Catholic."

The more psychologists study the nature of the female, we see that a woman's entire body and psyche is inward pointing to provide nurture and comfort for a child who is unable to do so on his own. The demonic has inverted the feminine nature by cleverly tricking her to believe she will gain power by gutting her natural essence of life provider and comforter to now rejoice using her body as a kill zone. Of course, this kill zone is hidden by using carefully crafted emotional phrases such as "reproductive rights" or "pro-choice" much the same way the tempter tricked Adam and Eve back in the garden through shrewd words. However, the dark result remains the same. St. Paul announced that our bodies are a temple for the Holy Spirit (see 1Cor. 6:19). How sad it is today that women have been duped to use their body as an altar for demons.

In spiritual warfare, one can expect demons to reverse God's creation to its grisly opposite. If a child's own mother can legally kill him all the while receiving praise from politicians who support this, then the demonic has infiltrated the family and gained traction into flipping creation upside down. However, you can vote this coming election to reverse this and eventually join the winning team. As Mary told the children at Fatima, her immaculate heart prevails in victory.
