Cowardly Catholics

We are in trouble, as a nation and as a Church.  I am angry about it too.  One of the biggest reasons we are in trouble is because of our own laziness, pride and ignorance. We let our guard down, became soft, took the easy path, and now we are paying for it.  While we were celebrating all the freedoms and rights we have, we let the serpent slither right in under our noses and start to infuse heresy, liturgical abuses and outright sacrilege in our Churches, and we turned a blind eye to it.

No wonder Christ was always restoring sight to the blind, so they could see with the eyes of Faith and fight the good fight for salvation.  Now granted, we have had a pretty difficult journey, because we have the worst examples of how to lead holy lives right now with these "bishops", who are neither for the most part holy or pure.  We have always had bad bishops and bad popes throughout history, although, right now, it is pretty bad.

It is definitely confusing, and many are being led astray mostly because they choose to follow bad bishops and bad priests.  Believe me, I did this for years, and it is a very difficult cycle to break, especially because since there are more bad ones out there than good ones.  We have priests out there openly celebrating abortion and homosexuality, so I get it.  Who do we trust?

Well, there are definitely good, orthodox priests out there, and they will and can change your life.  They can start you on the road to holiness. It's a difficult road though and even though some think we are on that road, we are really on the road to perdition.  We have been led by Satan's deception for  too long to realize it.  Our Church as a whole is on this road right now, and this has been brewing for a few hundred years. 

When the communists determined they would never defeat the Church from the outside, they went to the inside, and have infiltrated and effected us more than they even probably thought would be possible.  They do have Satan and the demons on their side though, and evil is definitely a powerful force.  We have been duped brothers and sisters.  If we aren't on the team, then we are selling out our supposed brothers and sisters in Christ. Whether we realize it or not, we should, and because of that, we will be held culpable and we will be punished.

When we decided that social justice issues were more important than getting people to Heaven, and accompaniment in the wrong direction in efforts to be tolerant becomes our mode of false evangelization, we should recognize we are on the wrong team.  Sure, accompaniment is important, but not if it tolerates sinful lifestyles and puts our own salvation at risk.  Conversion is not negotiable, and those refusing to convert and at least try to embrace holiness and Truth, are sometimes those we must walk away from.  Never give up, but the occasion of sin is real, and dangerous for us.

 It makes me angry that so many ignorant and lukewarm Catholics have now jeopardized my freedoms and rights to practice my Faith.  The ignorant and lukewarm don't care if the Churches get shut down and they can't receive the Sacraments, but their actions still affect those who aren't Luke warm and ignorant and who need the Sacraments desperately as we strive to be holy.  So, this is a huge deal.  There are tough days coming, and if we aren't strong in the Faith, apostasy and the denial of Christ are true possibilities for those who are weak.   This is all about choices, if we don't take the time to know the Lord, we might say we love him, but how can we? How can we love someone, whom we do not know, do not spend time with, and do not, most importantly obey.  We can't, so many of us think that we are friends of Jesus when in reality we are only fans, because, bottom line, we aren't willing to make the choice to follow Him the way he demands.  We want what we want, and we are so blinded to the pretty packaging of Satan, that we actually choose the serpent instead.  All the while deluding ourselves the we are doing the right thing.

 That is how we have gotten to this point, brothers and sisters!  It is a wake up call!  Learn the true Faith, pray for wisdom and humility.  It is up to us to save the Church, we need more of you on the team!  It's not too late.  Start with the Daily Rosary.  Let's be the light of the world and the salt of the earth, let's be salty!!!!  Get out there and fight, become true friends of Christ, and let's get as many people as possible to Heaven!!!!!  The Graces are there, we just need to seek and ask for them, and then endure the hardship of the Cross that Christ so adamantly warned us of.  It's all good in the end though, eternity with Christ is worth any kind of suffering and denial.  Ins't it?
