Easy to Love?
A seed was planted long ago
in a world dark with pain and sin.
But surely this seed was destined to grow
because of the garden God chose within.
All pure and good, no stain or blemish,
in this garden God's love did flourish.
And with this garden's holy grace,
no weed or serpent could disgrace.
Despite the world's darkness, despite the world's cold
in this beautiful garden, a new life took hold;
to grow, to blossom with a new Way to unfold--
the Way to Heaven may the truth be told.
For all God's work was truly planned;
to save our world was His command.
To save our world, this new life began.
So humble, so meek, so helpless and small,
this life came for one and for all.
With God's love and Mary blessed,
on this new life our salvation rest.
May we never forget why Christ was born,
and then let us give thanks come Christmas morn.
Amen!
