God in All Things ... Even Greeting Cards
What Are You Looking For?
Three times in prayer this question came up in a week, including the Sunday Gospel. God was trying to get my attention.
What am I looking for, God? I asked Him one night.
I heard an answer: Jesus.
Yes, that answer was true. Under everything I was seeking and looking for, it was Christ.
In the Gospel a few days later, I was surprised to hear the disciples say essentially the same thing when Jesus asked them that question. You, Rabbi, Teacher. We want to follow and stay with You.
The answer to this question really moved me. If the answer is Jesus, if the answer is always Jesus, how must my life change?
While the answer unfolds, I think for now I’ll take a cue from the disciples and stay with Jesus.
