Beyond Understanding

As the sun once again began to rise, I awoke to find Trust by my side and Worry nowhere to be found. I was so happy to know that our journey could continue. I remembered that it had been a while since I checked my bag for supplies. It had been several days now and we did not lack for anything we needed, we had water when we were thirsty, bread and jam for when we wanted to eat.

We started on our way with a song in our heart and it seemed as if we journeyed quite a while when a new friend stepped in line for our adventure. This friend was so quiet, and just stayed always by my side. I could wait no longer! I had to ask, “Who are you?” This friend told me their name was PEACE. I thought to myself that it was such a strange name for a friend, “Peace, I said” “How are you supposed to help me on my journey to the Palace?”

My new friend started to tell me how they were sent specifically by my Best Friend, the King at the Palace. The King knew I would need this gift for the journey to handle all the other visitors that would come my way.

Peace is such an important friend to have and as my new friend continued to walk along side of me, I learned that if I rely on the King to direct my steps… and not lean on what I think I need or want, that this very special PEACE would rule over my heart and mind. It would be a Peace beyond anything that the world could offer me… beyond any human understanding and comprehension.

As we continued on the road, my very best friend, the King, began to whisper in my heart…”This friend, PEACE, is a gift. Never let Peace go, Hold onto this gift no matter what comes your way and this Peace will allow you to face trials and temptations in your journey with a new kind of strength and fortitude. Peace that the natural world cannot give you.. it is a supernatural PEACE that will abide in you as long as you keep your heart close to my heart. The King continued to fill my spirit with love, and goodness and grace… I had Trust by my side, Worry was gone and Peace came in like a river… flowing thru my spirit. I was the happiest I had ever known. Peace quietly spoke to my heart and said, “do not loose site of my gift of Peace… hold onto the King’s heart and stay close,the journey will soon grow difficult and your will surely need Trust and Peace to make it thru. I wondered, what on earth could possibly make me change how happy I feel at this very moment?
