Living within a Kingdom led by Christ the Lord
“Mercy Covered the Passion of Christ”
A garden became the symbol of strife,
His Mercy covered the ills of emptiness.
A soldier his ear was severed by Peter,
His Mercy covered the anger of revenge.
Jesus stood before Pilate’s inquiries,
His mercy covered the absence of love.
The crowds yelled with shouts of hate,
His Mercy covered the sounds of fear.
His cross became a sign of sin,
His Mercy covered the ransom paid.
Precious blood that fell at Calvary,
His Mercy covered by shedding with love.
Pain was heard as Jesus cried out,
His Mercy covered granting forgiveness.
Easter morning brought Resurrection,
His Mercy covered our redemption.
