Discerning Truth: What Do You Know to Be True?
We hear it daily in our media - what is fact and fiction? What lies are being printed or spoken? What is the truth?
To believe something is to know it is truth. Here is what I know to be true:
Truth: I can see through thin ice, therefore I will not walk on it. I am careful of all types of 'thin ice' or grey areas in the decisions on the paths I take.
Truth: Exploding dynamite can hurt you if you are nearby. Fire can burn, rocks thrown can hurt. We must avoid throwing invisible 'rocks' of gossip, rumors and lies that can break 'thin ice.'
Truth: I can see the danger in a pit full of snakes, therefore I will not step into it. Examples of these pits in our everyday lives can include anywhere temptation can lure us into sin - wild spring break parties, bars, strip clubs, casinos, all-you-can eat buffets. See the truth, and do not step into these pits.
Truth: Life begins at conception. All life matters, no matter how it looks, talks, walks, acts, or thinks.
Truth: To know God is to love and obey God. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
Truth: Each of us is uniquely created; one of a kind; special; made for a purpose and a reason and given the ability to make a difference in the lives of all we come in contact with.
Truth: Our differences can either be positive and loving difference, or we can cause someone to be hurt by our words or actions too.
What you believe - is.
What you speak - becomes reality.
So choose carefully what you believe and what you speak. Another's life may depend on you, and that is the truth.
Walk by faith or belief. Trust in the One who is the Way, the Light and the Truth. Then, your life will be all you hope, dream and desire it to be. Because you believe, first in you.
Truth:To make sure you shine, you will be purified by the Love that God has for each of His Children. God our Father knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb. He 'begetted' a whole lot of men and women to be sure you, Child of God---came into being, just as He had to do to send Jesus to this earth.
You are that special! Believe that truth, dear Child of God.

Born the youngest of nine children, raised VERY Catholic across the street from Immaculate Heart of Mary church and school—Mom and Dad led by example and word their FAITH in God and saw to it that I was given 12 years of Catholic Education. (Mount St. Mary’s Academy/1965)
But, most importantly, because of my parents’ spiritual renewal after attending Cursillo Weekends, I too went on a retreat at our beloved Subiaco Abbey in Arkansas and there, at age 20, gave my life totally, surrendering all to my Lord and best Friend. This was my “Pentecostal” event that left me, like all the early Christians, on fire with God’s love and forever changed.
My husband Robert and I have been married for 52 this year in a marriage arranged by God. We have 8 children, two in heaven, 24 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. The story of our life together can be found in a book titled “My Journey, My Cross-As the Journals End,” published by Westbow Press . Our life together has been one awesome up and down roller coaster ride which enriched my heart with so many of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have found that the only way, Wisdom, Understanding, Words of Knowledge, Discernment, and Healing can be received is first by experiencing in your life the hurts of others. (and you yourself a sword will pierce)* so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2 v 35.
God has blessed me also many other talents and skills--but sometimes, blessings/gifts can and have caused problems or conflict in my life, as I am human and all too quickly that part of me shows up. Thank You God that You also show up!
