The Pontifical Council for Culture and the Cura Foundation have organized a Conference on relationship between the body, mind and soul in healthcare. The Vatican made the announcement on April 15.
The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, is listed among the featured speakers.
The title of the virtual conference scheduled for May 6-8 is “Exploring the Mind, Body & Soul: How Innovation and Novel Delivery Systems Improve Human Health.”
The conference will bring together doctors, drug manufacturers, physicians, religious leaders and pastoral healthcare workers.
“Together, they will focus on advances in medical innovation and seek to catalyze the creation of new, interdisciplinary approaches and partnerships for curing disease and improving health, wellbeing and understanding human uniqueness,” the conference website states.
Other speakers listed on the Vatican website include Chelsea Clinton, Kerry Kennedy and Joe Perry of Aerosmith.
In a statement, the Holy See said “The discussion will deal with the deeper meaning of human existence and seek areas of convergence between the humanities and the natural sciences.”
