Believing in Jesus Will Not Save You - WHAT?
We have just finished with Lent, and quickly we Passover unto another celebration in our walk with Christ. Mercy of God Sunday, the Ascension, and then Pentecost— well, everyday is “the Day of the Lord” and a day to rejoice and be glad in it.
I know we are in the final Passover, Agony in the Garden, Passion, Carrying of the Cross, and Crucifixion and Death of the Body of Christ here on earth. All for that final Resurrection and Return of our Lord. Some may wish that thoughts like this not be spoken. So, let us go back to “This is the Day of the Lord,” and realize that daily all of the above is happening as we draw closer to that final Day of the Lord.
Every day from the moment we wake up, we are ‘passing over’ from one place to another, we pray and eat and have to prepare for that little journey. We may have to agonize over decisions some that need deep thought and prayer to help us go in right directions or do the right thing. We also carry our crosses every day, and somewhere along the way there is some form of ‘discomfort from the mouths of others, or hands or others.’ Then the Crucifixion is really that moment by moment surrender to the Will of the Father and dying to our selfish ego’s willful behavior and opinions. As for the Resurrection daily of Jesus in your life—that will depend on rather you decide to stay out of the darkness, out of the tombs, and live in His Light, and act like He IS RISEN!! Speaking for myself, this requires discipline and now we progress to the next event in our daily life—Pentecost!! Most of the time my prayer starts with, “Help!!” Then followed by, “Come Holy Spirit, come. Send Your Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and Discernment. Send Your gifts of Love, Faith and Trust, Hope, Zeal, Steadfast Spirit and send Your Healing—so my mind, spirit and body become ONE with the Risen Lord.” I also say the Our Father slowly, to calm myself, and breathe in His Presence, for the very air we breathe is the breath of God.
Not a moment goes by every day where we do not take active part in the Living and Dying of Jesus our Lord.
2 Corinthians 4, verse 7-18
--The Paradox of the Ministry. 7 But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not constrained; perplexed, but not driven to despair;9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body. 11For we who live are constantly being given up to death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
12 So death is at work in us, but life in you. 13 Since, then, we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we too believe and therefore speak,14 knowing that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and place us with you in His Presence.15 Everything indeed is for you, so that the grace bestowed in abundance on more and more people may cause the thanksgiving to overflow for the glory of God.
16 Therefore, we are not discouraged; rather, although our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.17 For this momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to what is seen but to what is unseen; for what is seen is transitory, but what is unseen is eternal.
So Happy Easter Forever, and ever and evermore!!!
