I am Catholic - Here's What I Believe
I believe in the Word of God!
I believe in the Body and Blood of Jesus Present in the Eucharist because HE SPOKE THE WORD and said He is Present there!
I believe in living in love so God can live in me.
I believe in all that the Catholic Church teaches.
I believe life begins at Conception and that God KNEW ME before I was formed in my mother's womb.
I believe that God is not blind to anyone's actions or thoughts.
I believe that I am to go forth and spread His Words, His Good News--not my opinions, for only God knows best.
I believe that I cannot pick and choose what commandments He wants me to obey.
I believe that I am the living example of Jesus here on this earth and that actions speak louder than 'words.'
I believe that is it wrong to hate, or be angry with my brother/sister and when I publicly show anger or hate by my actions then it is the same of 'killing' for that is what Jesus taught.
I believe that to live my faith so I cam be popular, or accepted by mankind ----is living a lie.
For I believe that God must be Lord of my life and actions and what I speak publicly must be acceptable unto the Lord. Jesus Himself called those who sought places of honor and just 'wore' their faith on their sleeve--He called them hypocrites.
Either you take up your cross, and follow His Way. His Truth, His Light - then you cannot profess to be Catholic!
I am a Catholic and we believe that it is God we serve and not man. For this is why we are created. To know God, to serve God, to love God --so that we can be happy in this life and live with Him for all eternity.
Catholic is not a title ---it is the Truth, the Way and the Light that leads me on Paths that allows me to Love as Jesus love me: should I choose to be in His will for me.
This is what it means to be Christian or to be Catholic.

Born the youngest of nine children, raised VERY Catholic across the street from Immaculate Heart of Mary church and school—Mom and Dad led by example and word their FAITH in God and saw to it that I was given 12 years of Catholic Education. (Mount St. Mary’s Academy/1965)
But, most importantly, because of my parents’ spiritual renewal after attending Cursillo Weekends, I too went on a retreat at our beloved Subiaco Abbey in Arkansas and there, at age 20, gave my life totally, surrendering all to my Lord and best Friend. This was my “Pentecostal” event that left me, like all the early Christians, on fire with God’s love and forever changed.
My husband Robert and I have been married for 52 this year in a marriage arranged by God. We have 8 children, two in heaven, 24 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. The story of our life together can be found in a book titled “My Journey, My Cross-As the Journals End,” published by Westbow Press . Our life together has been one awesome up and down roller coaster ride which enriched my heart with so many of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have found that the only way, Wisdom, Understanding, Words of Knowledge, Discernment, and Healing can be received is first by experiencing in your life the hurts of others. (and you yourself a sword will pierce)* so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2 v 35.
God has blessed me also many other talents and skills--but sometimes, blessings/gifts can and have caused problems or conflict in my life, as I am human and all too quickly that part of me shows up. Thank You God that You also show up!
