Two Faces Of Eve
Finding Christ in our Lives
“Where are you, Lord?” we cry.
Are you just a distant past?
A model , a memory only of loving us?
Did you rise from the dead to remain with us?
To guide us through the storms of life?
Each finds his peace in certain places-
churches sure, but also in the world outside.
Mine is water, the surface ebbs and flows in the wind,
Deep, but where one can always float.
Light and air change and refigure both water and man.
Christ, the light of the world, speaks words of love;
His air blows love gently into our hearts.
“ I am with you always, to the end of time.”
Within the waves, there is movement always;
depth changes, but firm ground remains.
Belief, hope and love can move freely –
Yes, earth is but a step toward heaven.
“ O living Christ, help me to always remain with you.”
