Trust Him
Where does your power come from?
Whether we want to admit it or not, we commonly act like the power we have comes from us. We think we built ourselves to where we are in life and in the world. Well, that is wrong. We have nothing but what God has given us. If we have cultivated God’s gifts, that is good. But that still did not come from our power. It originated from God.
We look at the world sometimes in wonder at what man has done. The wonder is good, but we need to see it through a different lens. We need to look at the world in wonder at what man has done with God’s gifts. When we cooperate with God, great good happens. When we work without God, great evil happens.
Everything that you have, everything, is from God. Your ability to read this reflection is a gift from God. And He wanted you to have that ability, because He loves you and it was part of your salvation. He wants to work great good in the world through you. Not that you would be lifted up, but that you might love God and cause God to be lifted up in the hearts of others.
May we always realize that Our Creator created us to participate with His work, especially His work of salvation for all souls.
Heavenly Father, You created us out of nothing and willed that we participate with You, so that great good would come into this world of darkness. Strengthen us to participate with You as we battle the darkness. Amen.

I am an adopted son of God through baptism, though still a great sinner. God has blessed me with a wonderful wife and 11 lovely children, 3 of which have gone to Heaven before their birth.
