The Realism of John Chapter 6
“All Saints; All Souls”
How appropriate that the Church acknowledges those who are in heaven (The Church Triumphant), praying for us (The Church Militant), and of course together these two entities praying for the (Church Penitent) those in Purgatory.
The ultimate goal that all believers in the Trinity with Jesus Christ the King welcoming souls to his Father as we have reached the pinnacle of the presence of Almighty God. Our prayers have now become the very essence of Love; which is God himself. This efficacy should not pass by as just another event without adhering to the blessed graces that are obtainable through the faith we have received.
We live within this great sacred time, two events united together; saints awaiting for their loved ones, and those who wait for their release from purgatory. There is not enough that can be said regarding our relatives and friends who have passed on waiting for us to pray for their release from a period of completing the expiation needed for their journey to be with the Church Triumphant.
Two days the Church sets aside as an opportunity to share a most sacred period of the reality that death is not the final period of a soul. It is the entrance to an eternity with the Holy Trinity forever.
