The Crisis Among Young Women
Lately I feel like I am lacking strength. My body and mind are struggling more to get through each day, exhausted from the weight of responsibilities, little free time, and an aching body from chronic pain instigated by stress. Even my prayer is feeling weaker, especially in the mornings when fatigue is most present.
But the glimmer in all of this spiritually is that I’m asking for God’s strength each and every day, and He is consistently providing it.
When I first got diagnosed with a chronic health condition at 26 years old, I learned quickly that I could no longer rely on my own strength anymore. Only God would be able to get me through each day. Chronic health conditions require a different level of perseverance. That was a pivotal time in my life that taught me God’s strength is sufficient in my weakness.
We all need to learn that lesson at one point or another.
So if you’re struggling from the weight of something in your life, whether health, mental health, work, or even life circumstances, know that you too can learn to rely on God’s strength each and every day.
It is enough.
