When belief in God no longer has meaning

There are several stories beginning with Genesis that provide reasons to understand God’s presence in the human condition.  But, with Abraham and those prophets who followed we find the meaning through many trials and events that prove who God is.  The books of Kings and many prophets who began as shepherds or vine-growers took up the mantle of justice, some to their very martyrdom, to follow the Will of God which eventually brought us to the Cross on Calvary.  

Yet, after thousands of years, beginning with the Call of Abraham, we who exist in the 21st century AD still reject the teaching of the Old Testament and the Apostles of Christ, down through Apostolic Succession, are like the generations of old to whom God reached out to through many signs and they still were stubborn of heart.

You would think that similar to instructions in basic education, after 2000 years since Christ’s time on earth, and now with the Holy Spirit as a continuing teacher of God’s Will in our lives, we would be building on all this spiritual catechesis with our minds using what we have learned.  

Where is the forgiveness towards our neighbors?  What ever happened to the gift of love that was given through Christ’s stretching out his arms saying; “This much I love you” as he gave his blood to forgive you and me?

We are in a period of history that may never be reconciled to God’s love as humanity is already on a decline away from the goodness and perfection God deigned to share with us, to an impending future that may be too gruesome to think about let alone write about or discuss to sway the pendulum of time swinging in one direction; total devastation.  

Even if you may not adhere to some of the predictions of Revelation, we are already on a collision course with a one-world government, a one-world banking system, and a (hate to say this) one-world religion that neither looks nor acts as the Church Christ left with us.  We are told that the Beast and the Anti-christ will take over and hopefully we will not be here for this transition.  It is the rejection of God and the exiting of the Church that will become the main essence of the demise of goodness and the perfection which is God! 

If you are not certain that all this is happening, watch the news.  There already are designs to bankrupt the entities of fuel which will skyrocket gas fees.  How about the number predicted in Revelation that will allow only those with that number to participate in local tariffs.  The seasons of bliss and peace are still in the Spring of life.  Fall is close and when Winter is upon us it may be too late.
