The Importance of Loving the Sinner and Hating the Sin
“Your phone is on the charger, if you are looking for it—I put it there last night for you.”
“Now that means you get a big hug and kiss, thank you for thinking about me—I really appreciate that!”
Now, I am saying that, but I am also thinking—it is about time, I am forever doing daily small things for you that you take for granted. Well, I thank God I have a great friend in Jesus—for here He comes with a sweet reminder—“As do I for you my child! And you take my gifts of love for granted too.”
I had already read Psalm 147 this morning and think about the words there that remind me of all that God has created for us and for the animals to be sure we and they are provided for. Starting with the basics of the food chain, the microscopic or tiniest of creatures in the seas—plankton (over 1,000,000 species) and krill that the whales eat; there are so many species of insects, flying gnats, worms, critters of all type! All are needed for so the sole purpose of providing for living things from the tiniest to the biggest! Not only that but they are created to perpetuate the growing of the plants and the decaying of the plants so that the cycle can begin again. That is another category of just what all was created to sustain our life on this earth, plants, trees, bushes, grasses, flowers---thorny and sweet smelling ones—and yes the weeds! All were created as gifts from God for our use in our daily lives.
God is a God of details and there HAD to be so many different living things created so that we all can have what is needed to live on this earth. All done out of LOVE for us, His Children!!!
So, in many areas of the Bible, including Psalm 147, we are reminded to give thanks and praise to our God throughout the course of the day—for He is always going before us to prepare a place, the food, the sun, the rain—the stop signs, the rest areas, all by His perfect design—to ensure that our travels on this earthly journey has all that is needed to provide for our every need. Yes even flies, mosquitoes, gnats (150,000 species), spiders (4,500 species), snakes, worms are necessary for us to live. Give a BIG SHOUT out of Praise for all that He had done for you!
“Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; with the lyre make music to our God, 8*Who covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, makes grass sprout on the mountains, 9Who gives animals their food and young ravens what they cry for.” Psalm 147 verses 7 on.
It would really be a great family project to make a big picture board where you put up pictures of every type of living creature and plant, and go online or in an encyclopedia to find out just how many different species there are of every living thing. Case in point, over 100 different species of lemurs, each designed to do the perfect job it was created for in its role on this earth. Lemurs—so sweet and cute that God decided He wanted 100 species!
