Turn Back to Me For Greatest Lent Ever!
IT’S TIME!!!!, “Come, everything is ready. But one by one they all began to excuse themselves.” (Luke 14 verse 15.) This world and all that is in it—is a feast laid out for us, with all that we could ever want or hope for. Plus the very Presence of the Bridegroom in our midst—ready—and we are told to COME! Today when you speak of this invitation, when you share the Good News, Jesus if coming, Jesus is hear, Jesus is inviting—too many hearts are hardened, don’t want to hear it and give excuses why they are not even interested.
When preparing from my show “Its Me God” (podcast show found on www.radiotitans.com) I was given this verse and a theme to reflect on. I said, "God like those prophets of old, and Jesus too, you know there are those who have ears that will not hear, and wish you would just go away to another street to set your soap box up. So, God, tell me again why bother?"
I had reached a peace in thinking “oh well, they have been told—they chose—so dust your shoes off and go on with your life. Do the best you can and leave the rest in His Hands."
BUT, when you read this line found in Luke 14--- Verse 24—For, I tell you NONE of those men who were invited will taste my dinner.’ It causes you to stop and think about your family and friends who you are saying “oh, well” about. THEY WILL NEVER TASTE OF THAT FEAST PREPARED. NEVER!!
"Okay God, what do I do when they do not want to hear Words of how much You love them? Words that You speak to us, warning us, Your love reaching out to us? How can they be reached?" His reply—
“Speak to them the words they want to hear—they need to hear—words that will speak to them that they are noticed, and they are loved. Then they will listen and they will respond to My Love—for love is patient and kind, accepting and non-judging—and these are the Words they need to hear.”
Of course, Love never fails, and since God is Love--He will find a way to break apart the hardest of hearts when we fast and pray.
We have been invited to a FEAST not of food but of Life and all the life can give us, when we live in love and surrender to the Father’s will and His plan. GIFTS that will enable us to be able to do what He did and even greater, if we believe and live in His love.
He has prepared all this and has it all ready for us, but only if we do not ask or seek for selfish reasons or, to use for sinful design. The feast is ready but what is our response to the invitation? Like others, are we too busy, and too drawn to other interests, to find the time to be in the Presence of God within us?
Whenever God gives a special Word or message to me—I first must claim the message for myself. So, He has me always doing an attitude check on my own life. What are the areas, the lures of the world that I need to get away from, and draw away so I can enter into the oneness that He is calling me to.
Come, everything is ready for the wedding feast, the Bridegroom is coming. I can speak this WORD, or this Message--but who will listen and who will NEVER enter into the feast, His rest, the Kingdom of God? Throughout the Bible we are told there are those who WILL NOT hear. Those whose hearts are so hardened they will not let Him in. It is sad to think that there is a separation of sheep and goats, wheat and weeds when He comes. When He reigns there will be a Kingdom that people of the dark cannot enter. His Kingdom is already now among us—are we aware that we are there already—and living like Jesus is King and Lord over all of our life? We are told to be as a child in our faith, and be detached from worldly processions, for it will not be easy for the rich to live in His Kingdom. Most importantly—we are commanded—“to Love as I have loved you.”
Are you coming? Better Late than NEVER!!! We know what our RSVP is, but let us pray and fast for those who don’t want to hear—for to think that someone you love will NEVER taste of that feast—Oh, heaven forbid! God have mercy on us all.
