Spiritual Direction : The Cost Of War Is Personal Pray For Ukraine

It was nine years ago this month that I first met Katerina Vorozhbyanova.  Well that is not exactly true, in fact we have never met, yet the impact of her life and struggle have left a stamp on my life that I will always remember.  

Back in Feb. of 2013, Katerina or Kate emailed to see if I would be interested in doing video conferences with her.  I was so excited because my family came from Ukraine and family history went back to the Keivan Rus.  We were able to do many video conferences and I learned much more about what it was like to live in a city where my relatives once lived.  However, I also learned a great deal about Katerina.  She was a marvelous teacher who inspired her students to great heights.  

Now, today these former students and Katerina (Her Husband and young child need our prayers).  God bless them always and God bless their country.  They did not ask or deserve this war.  They just wanted to live in peace. Keep them safe, guide them, protect, and help them make it through this crisis.  In the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we pray.  Amen

We are facing a spiritual battle that will test our faith and our earth.  Are we aware of what is about to take place?  This is something we can not ignore and hide from any more. Wake up, rise up, and stand for Ukraine in their time of need.
