What's a Rebozo?
What about herbs for pregnancy?
Can I have a virtual doula?
You have questions - I have the answers! A fun class or two to take this March and they are all online classes!
A rebozo is a Mexican shawl and sometimes they are used for special movements to wrap around the mother to prepare her for labor and birth. This class will be Friday this coming week and Saturday - anyone can attend any level. We are offering Level B and Level C right now. Level B goes over birth ball and advanced techniques and Level C will be our postpartum rebozo and we may throw in some history of rebozo too. All classes are pretty good deal and you can signup for a combo deal too!
We also give some of our funds to Amani Africa group - we were able to donate $17 last time - we can donate more with more attendees!! Go to http://rebozo.weebly.com to learn more about the classes. This rebozo class is a via zoom online class!
Next on my list of fun classes for mamas is my signature herb class. I have offered it before via my doula classes page, but I am opening a special herbal school and this school will have future courses as well.
For now Mustard Seed Herbal has the Mama Herb class starting March 21st and we will meet 4 weeks in a row to learn about herbs. If you enroll by March 15th - we will offer a discount to you for this special herb course.
You learn about fertility herbs, pregnancy herbs, and postpartum herbs, and more!

We hope you will come - by the way all our classes are online classes - so via zoom!
Virtual doula - so what's that?
I offer virtual doula services to mothers who are pregnant or postpartum.
For my "virtual birth" services - I offer 2 prenatals via phone/online zoom - or however, we want to set that up - we basically talk over your birth plan, get your birth vision and go over comfort measures or discuss things you want to do to help your birth go better. Since it is a virtual doula - I help the partner/husband have a greater role of doing the hands on work so to speak - coaching the couple together to know what to do at the birth time. During the birth, the husband will be usually the one texting me (though mom might as well) - we also can set up a Facetime or chat via FB - whatever works that keeps us in contact. I usually check in about once an hour (unless requested to pause that) - usually a mom who is pushing will not contact me unless she needs that extra help - and after baby arrives I usually eagerly await a text or call about baby's weight, etc. ;) I also can do one follow up postpartum visit online or phone to go over and process the birth, etc.
For my "postpartum virtual services" - we can do like a pantry walk thru together (via phone/zoom) - get ideas on foods to freeze (recipes included) and preparations made for the upcoming baby's coming. So, some of this might be done before baby arrives. After baby arrives, I am there for emotional support and questions about baby and nursing, etc. for the mother. We can meet for like 30 minutes at a time or an hour - whatever works for the mother. I charge a "meeting" time visit - if under an hour - it still is an hour charge. We can also meet for longer time frames as needed. I am usually a person to help mom plan her postpartum recovery and get answers to questions. If she needs someone more hands on, we get ideas down on how that can happen for her and to help her partner be there as a helper (or relatives/friends). We can make a full postpartum plan as needed. So, the postpartum services is usually an hourly charge.
If you would like to contact me about virtual services go to http://catholicdoula.com and go to "contact page" or on the front page. Thanks
