The Day After the Consecration of Everything and Everyone
03/16/2022: I was overjoyed to hear yesterday's breaking news that Pope Francis will consecrate Russia (and Ukraine, which is for all practical purposes Russia) on Friday, March 25 . . . that is, until I quickly realized he has not as yet ordered the world's bishops to participate, as directed by Our Lady. Since then, Latin American bishops have stated they will join the consecration, and Bishop Strickland in Tyler, Texas, has tweeted the same. But we need them all!
Let us not allow yet another pope to make yet another veiled (and failed) attempt to appease Our Lady without fully honoring her request. Today, I sent a letter to the bishops in every diocese in my state and have copied it here as an "Open Letter" to the bishops of the world. I hope it inspires you to follow suit with a letter of your own to as many bishops as you can reach. Feel free to cut and paste. Meanwhile, momentum is growing! Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us! Saints Jacinta and Francisco, pray for us!
Good day, Your Excellencies:
You are certainly aware of the history behind Pope Francis’ scheduled consecration of Russia next week on the Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. For context, however, let me briefly remind you:
For more than a century, the Church hierarchy has failed to take seriously Our Lady of Fatima’s 1917 warning that Russia would infect the globe with its errors, i.e., atheism and communism. Likewise, Our Lady’s appeal to Sister Lucia in 1929 for the specific consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart, by the pope and all of the world’s bishops in unison, has also been effectively ignored.
As a result, the world has been denied powerful graces that could have protected us from the tragic decline of the Catholic Church . . . from the descent of society, at large, into rampant immorality . . . . from the onset of an apocalpyptic World War already ignited by an unconsecrated Russia.
Heaven has waited long enough. Moreover, Our Lady has been grievously dishonored as offenses against her Son, Our Lord, exceed all bounds. Yet, like St. Monica weeping in prayer for the conversion of Augustine, she continues to intercede for us, even as she begs us to fast and pray Rosaries in reparation for our fallen world.
Your Excellencies, I pray you take stock of the people whom God has entrusted to your care and see, with clarity, the dire urgency of answering our Mother’s call. Open your eyes to the vacuum created by the dearth of true, pastoral care. See how vast numbers of Catholics have left the Church since 1917 and particularly since Vatican II. Examine the lies and squalor in the media that pass for your flock’s news and entertainment. Note how the majority of the “faithful” under your watch are so woefully ignorant of Catholic doctrine, how we (along with many of the clergy!) are swayed by the world view of communism disguised as “social justice” and sin disguised as “human rights”. Imagine, if you can, the countless souls given over to this madness.
You have the antidote, Your Excellencies. It is simply your participation, along with the bishops of the world — from the convenience of your private chapels — in the March 25 consecration of Russia and Ukraine by Pope Francis. Please, by all means, exert pressure on your brother bishops throughout the world to follow suit.
Our Mother awaits. Her children pray. The world suffers. For the love of God, join with Pope Francis in consecrating Russia at long last.
Yours in Christ,
Pamela Grothaus
