I guess one reason I wanted to explore music is because I use to sing in a choir and I just love the songs for Holy week and such - so this is why I wanted to connect music with Our Lady of Sorrows.
So, what are the 7 Sorrows of Our Lady?
THE FIRST SORROW - The Prophecy of Simeon...
THE SECOND SORROW - The Flight Into Egypt...
THE THIRD SORROW - The Loss of the Child Jesus in Jerusalem...
THE FOURTH SORROW - Mary Meets Jesus on the Way to Calvary...
THE FIFTH SORROW - Jesus Dies on the Cross...
THE SIXTH SORROW - Mary Holds the Life Less Body of Jesus in Her Arms...
The Blessed Mary promises the following amazing graces granted by her Divine Son for all those who daily pray Hail Mary’s while meditating on each of her seven dolors (sorrows) and tears.
1. I will grant peace to their families. 2. They will be enlightened about the Divine Mysteries. 3. I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work. 4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls. 5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives. 6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death—they will see the face of their mother. 7. I have obtained this grace from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.
About Me: I am a Catholic Mother of 4 children. I love writing about pregnancy and childbirth as I am a doula. However, I decided to write a few books recently and my books include: "A Catholic Postpartum", "Little Way of Motherhood" (about pregnancy), "Hope Through Sorrow" (Miscarriage/Bereavement book), "The Comfort in Birth Method", etc. My favorite saints are St. Therese and St. Zelie' Martin (and St. Louis). I love Our Lady Immaculate Heart as well. Please pray for me and I'll do the same for you! Thank you.
