What God Wants Us To Do
Before His judgment fell, often with ferocity, God always warned every generation to repent. His patience has limits. Anyone who has even a rudimentary understanding of the history of civilizations knows that to be true. And – and this is important – everyone who has eyes to STILL see, can see He has reached that limit with America.
Here is what He had the apostle write to the first century church in Thessalonica. It is the SAME word to everyone in America today: “Let no one in any way deceive you, for [Christ’s return] will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness [i.e. the antichrist] is revealed, the son of destruction . . .. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness." (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12)
I hope you caught that statement in verse 11. God warns that He will send a supernatural spirit of delusion on all humanity so that those who have continued to reject truth WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO RECEIVE TRUTH. He will make them spiritually blind to truth.
That should scare everyone who still has eyes to see what is happening every DAY all around us.
Christian – the time for business as usual is over. The hourly newscasts are fearful testaments to the terrible reality that God is – right now, as you read this – in the early stages of judging both the Church and the country. Christian – we must beg Him to reveal to us our sins so we can repent – before His judgments overtake us.
And non-Christian, you must also seek Him while you still can, and repent – before His judgments overtake you.
Please. None of us should be like those who scoffed at Noah while he built the ark.
