Always following His Love
Let us make mankind in our image

One of the most quoted and known verses of the Bible is found in the very beginning, when one reads the well-known book of Genesis. In Genesis 1:26-27 God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
How wonderful and powerful this quote from the Bible is. God declares the making of mankind in God’s likeness, as male and female. This was the beginning of a perfect society, a society built on God’s love, of humans sharing together, of helping one another. From the very first part of the Bible, we see that God from the beginning already trusted mankind, already trusted His creation of male and female to rule the world, to live together in harmony. The fish, the birds, the livestock and wild animals and all other creatures… mankind was entrusted with all this.
Creation was the sharing of God’s love to mankind. An intimate, personal relationship between God and mankind had started. A personal relationship of God with His creation… with man and woman.

I am George Calleja from Malta; I am married and have two children. In 2009, I obtained my MBA through the University of Leicester.
During the years 1990 to 1996, I was a full-time missionary with ‘The International Catholic Programme for Evangelization - ICPE’ and have evangelized in various countries, such as Russia, Ghana, Poland, Germany, and Malta amongst others. I published a free ebook Evangelization (June 2015) through Social Networking Sites', which is also available in paperback for a minimal price.
