The Mark of the Beast
How Beautiful is Love?
Stand aloof from something you’ve never seen before, admiring it’s beauty, it’s charm, and the essence of something too wonderful to describe. Wait a while and you may get a glimpse of a dream that has not yet come to fruition or has yet to make your acquaintance as the dawning of aquarius.
Perhaps you watch as a sculptor works his hands with just a small tool chipping away pieces of granite one piece at a time with just the slightest movements as you watch tiny chips fall to the ground. At first it is just a large granite but wait for his work to be completed and it may represent a newness never imagined before.
Look into the eyes of your new found friend whom you would love to know intimately and search for a sign she feels the same for you. Learn to call to your mind a passage of trust and seek a manner of reaching into her unknown persona hoping to enjoy true compassion. After a period of untold ecstasy you wonder how this encounter could become so rich in trust and faith.
Moses said, “Do let me see your glory!” He answered, “I will make all my beauty pass before you, and in your presence I will pronounce my name, Lord;” “I who show favors to whom I will, I who grant mercy to whom I will. But my face you cannot see, for no man sees me and still lives.” (Ex. 33: 18 -20).
The Hebrew word for love is Chayay which means life. Life in it’s full understanding is to live spiritually as well as physically. Here we can see that the Love who is God is indeed life to the fullest.
One writer puts it this way, “Alright, but not my face revealed in full glory of my goodness. If that were to happen, you would be so radiantly changed on every level that no one could relate to you anymore.”
Remember how St. John describes the love of God; “God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him. In this is love brought to perfection among us, that we have confidence on the day of judgment because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment, and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says; I love God, but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.” (1 Jn. 4: 16a - 21).
Like the analogies above our expectations cannot even be described since God is Love. He is so beautiful that the allowance of God exposing his Omnipotent Presence to a human would place us as a divine entity unable to reach other humans. None of us is ready for that revelation. If one could even feel the glory of the Lord, as Moses was able to do, our total demeanor would become untouchable.
As in the day of Aquarius, or looking upon the finished sculpture, and becoming one with your new-found love all the hidden magnificence will come to life and the face of God in his brilliance will be revealed and we shall be able to see God’s face with the veil of life’s silhouetted vision removed.
This revealed face of God will not be a face with human features; it will be for the first time our being absorbed into the very Love that He is! His radiance will be so touchable that it is beyond human understanding. The transformation is an eternal sustenance that won’t need an explanation. We shall be part of God’s glorious essence! These are not words of human intellect, they are the essence of God’s Wisdom.
