Who is this Woman called Mary?
The End of Time; Where is it?
In this question it isn’t the end of the world we’re seeking, but a rhetorical meaning to the vast endless of something those who search the universe have sought for thousands of years. Can you imagine looking into the vastness of space and even comprehend the end of the universe?
Many theologians have asked the question regarding the role that God took upon himself to create an endless emptiness filled with uncountable galaxies and more uncountable solar systems with just as many planets that appear to go on forever, if the real meaning of that adjective can be understood.
There are more scientists, astronomers, and many unbelievers who question daily the same knowledge as theologians regarding the end of time meaning the far reaches of whatever we look at in the night sky. This is a posture of wonder because the end of space is not even possible and with the calculation of light x distance has what we see even in existence.
Understanding the many mysteries about God are difficult enough, without even scratching the surface of the infinite we look to. Now, this mystery that so many brilliant minds search to have a finite understanding about seem to go a few miles x millions and are left with more questions than answers.
However, giants in the world learned how to fly airplanes that now exceed the speed of sound. Others, like Edison gave us light to see by at night . Automobile inventors made our trip to the store quick and comfortable. These are but a few in a world filled with questing minds and the world continues to expand in space, under the oceans, and right here on earth.
Going back to the beginning regarding seeking the answer to mysteries we must not forget the inventor of all the scenarios and more; God! An inquiring mind may produce more than we already have. The effort to have electric mobility without fossil fuels is at the hands of many who are trying to save the planet that is in trouble with the ecology going down the toilet.
Yet, it isn’t a fabricated dream of thinking we will see airplanes flying without using fossil fuels as well as automobiles. At one time persons were afraid to go too far on boats afraid of falling off the earth.
It took Greek philosophers in the 5th century BC to account for that. A 3rd century BC Hellenistic Astronomy established the roughly spherical shape of the earth as a physical fact and calculated the earth’s circumference.
So, we’ve come a long way circumventing incorrect information from a lack of knowledge about a flat surface of the earth, gravity, the sun revolving around the earth, and many other non-factual ideas.
Because of the great distance between galaxies, solar systems, and even our closest neighbors we shall one day make strides in the universe with the mysteries of outer space.
Will all this investigation get us any closer to unraveling the mysteries of God? He created everything we are able to see, and all that is beyond us. Here we are seeking the love that God has given us without understanding very much outside of the realm of heaven that Jesus revealed to those who will believe.
If all the searching to ascertain the hidden vastness of space without seeking the answer through the heavenly Trinity we shall not go too far. We must find the hidden secrets of God’s presence and savor the gifts that come through grace, first. Even though there are many mysteries about the Lord we will never learn as humans, the benefits of receiving sacramental grace through the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation will see us through the cloud of mystery about the essence of his love for us.
Where is the end of time that alludes the brightest minds is not an immediate discernment. Find God’s presence within our souls and the rest will fall into place maybe over the next thousand(s) years.
