My search for Sin! Broken People
When will God answer my prayer?
Too often when our prayers may be left unanswered our searching for the reason realizes one of several causes can be found within our own neglect or improper manner of asking. Many times disappointed people might be pleading for something they already have, but not the way they think God should have responded to them.
There are those who constantly complain to God with expectations of receiving a bushel full of blessings in the vintage of untold wealth or the removal of someone or something that disrupts their life. It doesn’t happen and their path of attack on God becomes relentless.
Can the result to why the prayer may be ignored or answered in a way that isn’t what was expected become a means to get angry with God? When these instances present themselves we must remember that blessings are more numerous if we would just take a moment and reflect on what we have already received.
One woman who actually prays a lot but because her requests for more money never is satisfied she bemoans her situation and God is at the end of her constant attacks and threatens to cease praying. She has a sister who is married to a millionaire and over a lot of years paid her mortgage and other necessities. Her mother just gave her a gift in the thousands which she was thankful for, but the next day was complaining that God doesn’t hear her needs. She has a good heart and is generous in other ways to her other siblings but is missing the point as to the many blessings she already has. This could be the same scenario for many persons who take God for granted and many blessings on them are answered prayers which they didn’t even ask for.
A surety of the many prayers we may ask for have already been answered before any of us realize our need for something and thank God for his answer. It is a guarantee of how much our loving Lord always has our needs in mind and never waits for our request before answering our prayer. When will he answer our prayer? Think back how often that had already occurred!
