PRISONERS OF CHOICE
What is this world coming to?
I read a recent article in the "Insider" about a California woman jailed for having a stillborn child due to her being on drugs. The author claims prosecution for miscarriages will only get worse under the current abortion rights crackdown. What? Since when is it acceptable for a woman to knowingly risk the life of her preborn child by taking drugs?
We see drunk drivers and other crimes that result in the death of a viable preborn child prosecuted. A perfect example is Scott Peterson, convicted of killing his wife, who was eight and a half months pregnant with their son. He is currently serving a life sentence in San Quentin. What is the difference? Oh, wait a minute … I forgot that in some states, you could legally kill a preborn child up through the ninth month. If the child survives the abortion, it can be left to die on a cold table or in a trash can. That isn't considered a crime; it is considered "healthcare" and "reproductive rights." I guess pregnant addicts need to move to those states so they can continue to use, thus avoiding prosecution.
When will the hardened hearts of the abortion-loving left soften and realize that life is life, regardless of location? When will they accept the science that proves a child's life begins at conception, with its own DNA and body and that a child's survival shouldn't be at the mercy of a mother or anyone else under the auspices of "choice?"
I look up towards the heavens and imagine the faces of Jesus and the Blessed Mother, wet with tears. Their hearts must be breaking, seeing how some consider precious babies disposable objects, not worthy of life or love.
