"The Ceaseless Act of Love. I Will Think of Everything. You Think Only of Loving Me."

I recently found a sample of the above titled book in my Kindle. I opened my Kindle to read a different book titled “Pray, Act and Don’t Worry”, a book about discernment. But the cover of The Ceaseless Act of Love was there staring at me front and center when the Kindle opened. On the cover was a beautiful image of Jesus with His arms wide open in welcome. I started reading and what I read was very challenging but transformative. I immediately ordered the full book so I could read the rest. The book gives the story of the life of Sr. Consolata Betrone, a humble nun who lived in Italy from 1903-1946, and the messages she received from Jesus. What Jesus told her then seems to be a prescription for the suffering world we live in today.

The book encourages us to live our lives in a continuous act of love for Jesus. Not a minute should escape us where we are not praying or serving our neighbor for love of Jesus. Even during our daily duties an work, we can be sending up little ejaculations of love to keep our hearts united to His. Jesus’ favorite such ejaculation is “Jesus, Mary. I love You. Save souls.”(pg 11). Every act of love for Jesus saves a soul.(pg 18).

The book says the following:

The Lord says: “Love Me and you will be happy. The more you love Me, the happier you will be” (pg 73).“The Lord said not to think of anything or anyone but Him, and that means not even those who are doing wrong. He does not want us to watch others and get upset with their inappropriate behavior, but to keep our calm and to love Him” (pg 31) It also says we must love every single person without exception (pg 54), obey all that the Church teaches (pg 86), and through obedience and love of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist we will expand our capacity to love and grow in virtue, which produces joy (pg 37). Jesus says always say yes to the need of a neighbor with a smile (pg. 35) for love of Him, unless charity or duty require otherwise (pg 39) confidently relying on His strength to help you.

Our Lord also gives the remedy for the ills of our broken society in this book: Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (pgs 53, 81, 114. Adoring Him as Eucharistic Lord brings down torrents of graces upon the world (pg 81) saving innumerable souls (pg 53). When we receive the Holy Eucharist, Jesus comes into us. The reception of Holy Communion in a state of grace is the closest union we can have with God while here on earth. The Holy Mass and receiving the Holy Eucharist transforms us into living hosts for the sanctification of the world. When we adore Jesus as the Eucharistic Lord, we give hearts back to Him as we acknowledge His Kingship over us. “Mankind’s humble adoration of God with us in the Holy Eucharist will be the weight that crushes the head of satan.” (pg 81). This will come about by practicing ceaseless acts of love, which will produce the reign of the Eucharistic Jesus in each heart. The fruit of that love will be the Enthronement of Jesus on every altar in the world. The people of Poland are the first to have Enthroned the Eucharistic Lord as King of their nation in 2016. As the ceaseless act of love spreads, more nations will follow suit. After enthronement of the Lord as Eucharistic King, He will draw all people to Himself (pg 114). Many Saints and mystics have prophesied about the Reign of the Eucharistic Jesus to bring about the Kingdom of God on earth.
