The Apartment

         Many years before I became a Real Estate Agent, I had a dream about a Father looking for a place of residence for him and his son.  He had heard through the grapevine that I might have a large room for rent.

         The father came to my door, knocked, and asked if I had any rooms for rent.  I told him that I did and asked if he wanted to see the room with a bathroom.  When he saw what I had, he was quite impressed by the size of the room and the low asking price for rent.

         Naturally, I said that I needed to clean the room before they occupied the premise.  “Don’t bother”, said the father who said that they would accept the rooms “as is”.

         He then took out of his jacket a small vile of red liquid and a clean white cloth.  He placed a minute drop of liquid on the cloth and proceeded to clean both rooms with only that drop of liquid and that cloth.  I was literally stunned when I saw this and asked the father where could I purchase such a valuable cleaning liquid.

         He smiled and said, “ The cleaning fluid is not for sale; it is absolutely free.”  With great amazement, I asked, “What is this cleaning fluid?”  The Father answered, “It is a drop of my Son’s Precious Blood.”  With that, the dream ended.

         I awakened in profound awe, got out of bed, dropped to my knees and praised the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit for revealing this to me in humble thanksgiving.  I have the feeling that the Holy Spirit was the inspiration for this dream.

         All of us need to wash our robes clean in the Blood of the Lamb (Book of Revelations).  None of us are sinless.  We need to wash our entire lives in that Blood.  Keep this in mind at the end of your day when you examine your conscience during the evening hours. 

         After you examine your conscience, always say the Perfect Act of Contrition, which is slightly different than the regular act of contrition.  The difference is quite simple that you eliminate the fear of his just punishments but add that you have great love for God.  If the sins are of the grievous nature, you must make the firm amendment to go to the Sacrament of Penance and receive absolution for your sins as soon as possible.  You are restored temporarily to the State of Sanctifying Grace if you are in Mortal or Grievous Sin before Confession with the Perfect Act of Contrition. Then you can say the Act of Spiritual Communion.
