Reaching into the depth of man's essence!
In the twilight of time I was born in the image of the Holy Trinity
As the Lord told Jeremiah; “Berore I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.” (Jer 1: 5). Herein these words are directed to all who are called as God selects each one he’ll guide in a way that like Jeremiah will begin a journey unknown to us.
The world is a place of darkness until someone pulls the veil of sin away by pronouncing God’s intent and places upon their heart the light which is Christ, as in John’s prologue; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (Jn. 1: 1 - 5).
We never know what the Lord has prepared for any of us, but be assured his plan was already in motion before our parents knew each other. In fact, that is what God meant when he said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” (Gn 1:26).
What is the image of God? All Love. How do we describe his likeness? It is seen through the light that Christ has given to each of us as his Holy Spirit becomes one with us as he is one with the Father and the Father is one with him. Between the Father and Son is an undeniable love that is the Holy Spirit. Three distinct persons yet one God.
There is a mystery that encompasses each human as our being was known before time existed. We do not know when the Trinity discussed our unification with them, but know that when the time arose we were already in the process of life forever with God.
A wonder of mysteries about God certainly has our minds trying to get beyond the very finiteness that blocks any intellect of questioning without an answer. When the statement of when the Trinity discussed our unification with them, we must remember there could not have been a term to fit time. With God there is no time or space. God is forever. Our future or past for us is time in our dimension. With God our future already exists. And our past is ever present with God. When we pass from this life we will be in God’s presence without past or future. As God spoke to Jeremiah saying before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Jeremiah was already at work in his unborn existence. This is how you and I were already ministering in God’s Church.
