"An Ode to the Most Wonderful Mother of God"
It is time to declare that God is alive and his glory is coming
Everyone is familiar with the cliche that God is dead, where somebody decided to perpetuate such a slap at our creator and began to throw aspergers at all that is good. Why would anyone choose such a blasphemous reproach allowing their own soul to become in jeopardy to the point of burning in hell for all eternity.
Now, here we must interject the fact that even Jesus told us the all sin is forgiven except that against the Holy Spirit. “Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the holy Spirit will not be forgiven either in this age or in the age to come.” (Mt. 12: 31 32).
The one great truth about God is he always forgives sin. Of all the parables Jesus taught us is the manner in which his Father constantly searches for sinners in order that he may wrap his arms around and kiss their wayward wandering away and welcome them hi=ome. Perhaps the most significant story is the Prodigal Son. What father, depicted by a Jewish father, would do everything he did in a way that was not commonly done to show how great forgiveness looks? Prepare a scathing reprimand to shame his sinful son? Not in your life. Call his servants to make a barrage of punishment so everyone would know the father was in command? Not this father.
This is God! Searching, finding and carrying the lost sheep back home. The story of footprints in the sand where God said I will walk with you. When the sojourner looked he saw only one set of footprints he asked, I thought you said you’d always be with me until I saw on;y one set of footprints. Where were you? He answered, you got too weak to walk and when you saw one set of footprints is when I lifted you onto my shoulders. This again is the perfect image of who God is.
God is dead? Not even remotely possible and to prove that he always forgives, he was born of a woman taking on himself through His Only mSon Jesus to prove he not only in forgiving, he is truly alive.
