Passover---Easter Continues--Daily
In the beginning of Christianity, was a lifestyle that was referred to as the Way. Following in the footsteps of Jesus, living by the instructions that He left, the apostles and their followers lived in a communal life. Communal Life.* 42y They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.z 43 Awe came upon everyone, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.a 44 All who believed were together and had all things in common;b 45 They would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one’s need. 46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
What happened to this lifestlye, and to His teachings? Where and when did we get off track, so much so that our world today has become one of such chaos and enviormentally more and more inhabitable.
He left us simple basic instructions, all centered on the message of Love each other as I have loved you. Have faith in the Father, trust in His ways. Ask, seek, knock and it will be given unto you. If we live in love, when we obey his commandments of Love God with all your hearts, and love your neighbor as yourself, then we would be living in harmony, as a family and in peace. Our world would not be be slowly destroyed by our selfish wasteful behavior. We would be sharing and helping each other as neighbors should, we would be doing as Jesus did and even better because of our obedience and faith in God. We would not be controlled by the human behavior that is proud, angry, selfish, greedy, and addicted to pleasures of the flesh. We would be the temple that is spoken of in Reading 1 Eph 2:19-22
Brothers and sisters:
You are no longer strangers and sojourners,
but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones
and members of the household of God,
built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets,
with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone.
Through him the whole structure is held together
and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord;
in him you also are being built together
into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
Who is the blame for the downfall of our world and our society? When did it start—could it have been in 325 with Emporer Constantine became a Christian and made it OKAY to be one? No longer were they persecuted, they became acceptable, more organized and established, and empowered. Human nature being human nature—Christianity became more controlled and led by man and not the Holy Spirit. Greed, Pride, and corruption soon became inbedded in the Church, the Way of livng in Love—and we became a watered down version of the origional recipe given. It is no wonder people have stopped believing in God for His Presense is only evident with we are living in that Way of living and loving that Jesus commanded us to live. Le
If we want our world to change, to be habitable again, to be in harmony and His peace—we have to once more get back to the WAY, and living the Way, that communal lifestye of caring and sharing and following the instructions He left.
More and more we are going to see the end results of our sinful behavior as climate changes will continue to wreck havoc on our environment, food becomes scarce, and humanity will see all those prophecies being fulfilled spoken of in the last days in Scripture. Will the only way that we will be able to come through all of this cleansing and tribualtion, will be to return to that Rock Solid Way of living in faith and trust in the power of God, the power of prayer or seeking God for all of our needs, and to humble ourselves, repent and return once more to living in His Love. Is this then when we will see the second coming Jesus, when we first see Him alive with in our hearts.
