"Don't Give Up--Keep Trying!"
In the Book of Exodus, we have first the Egyptians, and then the Israelites asking this question—“What have we done?” Just like them, we find ourselves asking the same question when embarking on a whole new way of life, or making some changes that require extra risk when we follow our passion and dreams.
Whenever we are doing the work of God, heeding His Call---at some point—the enemy is going to notice and say—go after them! They are being led by God, and we can’t have that. They have been delivered from sinful behavior! Hit them with everything we have!!
And so it is, that doubts will come, discouragement, despair, worry, anxiety, and fear of ‘what exactly am I doing?” When that happens, when we seem to be up against a wall, overwhelmed, weak and useless---then remember these Words straight from God Who is able when we are not.
“Fear not! Stand your ground,
and you will see the victory the LORD will win for you today.
These Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again.
The LORD himself will fight for you; you have only to keep still.”
“Stand your ground, you only have to be STILL and KNOW that I AM and I AM with you always. FEAR NOT!!!”
Is this not the most awesome promise of God that we can have. “I will win this battle for you, I will deliver you and you will never see this enemy again!!”
Just think of the many enemies in your life you have to face. Illness, poverty, joblessness, disabilities, storms that destroy, critics, the unknown, raising your family, angry people--well anything that has you worried, fearful and in distress.
RAISE up you staff of faith, speak out and give God thanks and praise for what He will do to see you through, to cross you over that HUGH SEA of impossibilities!! Do you have this faith? No? Only a little tiny belief? Fantabuous!! That is all you need---for the rest is for God to do in His steadfast eternal love for you.
So, get moving, continue to do what God has called you to. And, remember the end of the story—‘the horses and the riders were cast into the SEA---swallowed up and destroyed. YEA GOD!!!
