Walking By His Side
Life is a journey toward a new exodus-
eternal life with the Trinity.
With Him I am strong
because He trashes my weaknesses.
I am compassionate because
He has shown me His suffering.
He has made me a fighter-
demonstrating for the rights of others.
Wise in His ways, I am foolish
in the eyes of the devil and his cult.
I laugh at the antics of Satan,
yet have sadness at his beliefs.
Love has overshadowed all evil;
His death for my sins gives glory for all men.
Now I dance in the falling rain,
awaiting the next step toward heaven.

Mary Rivers retired to beautiful Point Clear Ala on Mobile Bay. A lifelong Catholic she graduated from UNC, Chapel Hill. She was one of the first, if not the first, Catholic hired in Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system. She was a reading specialist and doing graduate studies until she married her husband, Jim.
