With Jesus at the Jordan
Life yesterday, now and tomorrow
What had life given;
what had happened to bring one to today?
Is the purpose of life orchestrated to bring one to today?
To this ending?
Can the bad stuff be used to make good, a survivor;
even to making a person stronger?
Physical pain, stitches, burns pulled muscles
are easier to handle
Than the vulnerability of a fractured soul.
Someone said, “Pain produces growth;”
Maybe only growth to ones’s broken nose.
Interior growth is for self, to become better;
Not better physically.
Bad decisions were one’s own, but
Can one use old bad decisions
To learn to make new good decisions?
Scars will remain; yet the past can
be covered, made useless-
To become a stronger, new creation.
A stubborn chin can make one wake up
tomorrow with determination.
Sometimes another has to step in to help.
“Love one another,” takes many forms:
To be the giver or the receiver.
The Lord decides;
our obedience to His will answers.
“Here I am, Lord;
I come to do your will.”
