During the days when Judah fell away from God’s rule, an authoritative command kept the people turning to idols to satisfy their hungry carnal desires.  A prophet arose attempting to bring peace and release from the ostentatious attitude of the kings who were bent on destroying Jerusalem.

Jeremiah was murdered for his calling the people to change their ways and after his death his words rang deeply throughout the kingdom.  But, it was the time before he was martyred that we should look at.  Jeremiah, as modern day prophets, have an unending task to tell those who don’t want to hear from the voice of God and change their direction from the deep attraction of idolatry and listen to the sounds of approaching hoofbeats.  

Billy Graham said; “They come as a warning and grow louder equating the ancient symbols with the modern terrors that pursue us; war, violence, deception, economic chaos, unemployment, poverty, hunger, disease, and death.”  This approach represents the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as detailed in the Book of Revelation.  (see chapter 6).

The view of the six seals the Lamb broke open:  A white horse and its rider had a bow.  He was given a crown and he rode forth victorious.  Rider # 2 was on a red horse and the rider was given power to take peace away from the earth.  The third rider was on a black horse with a scale in his hand, to measure out a fair cost  to people.  Rider # 4 was on a green horse and the name was death and hades followed him.  (Rv. 6: 1 - 8).

As we ascertain all of these symbolic events the culmination of what began with Jeremiah’s plight of preaching God’s word to repent and turn back to God and his demands for worship are painting a picture of our future; those of us in 2022.  

Look and see the condition in the world, especially our nation, worsens the plight of the peaceful persons is increasing and all we are able to do is pray and seek the generous grace that Almighty God will bring to each one, but not until the predictions of Revelation begins to take place.

Some of the most atrocious sins that are presenting to the world are more than abortion as writin earlier, it is the latest news of some school systems, especially in Chicago, where the children’s hospital in connecting with school districricts introducing surgical experiences on young children to comply with sex changes, adopting new symbols that stand for more than normal signs of male or female.  As I wrote in one of my articles the threat of abortions is not the crucial reality for diminishing humanity, it now is a full elimination for decades to come where the ability for pregnancies will be a forgotten entity.  We are facing a new manner of human code; what it means to be alive.  The destruction of life-giving women and the reduction of humanity.

Certainly the people who contrived to kill Jeremiah were no different than many today who have taken upon themselves to dictate life as they see it, not as God ordained it to be.
