How Andy’s Secret Changed His Life Forever
The problem with evil is that it is.
Barnacles on ships, rot on trees,
Broken promises, all God sees.
Hidden away in my garden of ease,
I do what I must and mostly I please.
Myself.
Happy in calm and quiet
Simple life, balanced diet.
Green leaves sway in the light of day.
Birds sing and puppies play.
Startled beyond all reason why,
Bad news hurries fear, till all joys die.
Drama, trauma, crime, and greed,
Pain, suffering, lamentation seed.
Other selves love does touch,
Not myself alone, not so much.
Evil finds a way,
Through darkness to the brightest day.
Terror seeming all-powerful,
To hearts most sorrowful.
Then a gentle breath breathes,
New life in spirit, hope beyond hope, now believes.
The garden awaits and birds must sing.
Distant church bells steadfast ring.
For though evil is,
It is not All,
For we are His.
