Godly ways to gain more self-confidence
As Catholics, we have so many gifts enabling us to love and serve God in the greatest of ways. We have the gift of a relationship with Jesus through the sacramental life of the Church. We have prayer. We have our vocational callings, and so much more. Our greatest calling is our baptismal call given to us upon our baptism to live for Christ and to serve the Church. This is our greatest calling no matter what life may throw at us or where we are in terms of the vocational calling.
Serving
Serving others is a real decision to love God even more. Each day we have a choice whether we will pick up the cross or if we decide to do things our own way. Usually, when we go in our own direction, since it is most likely not God’s will, we will be sad, and we will fail to please him. When we decide to willingly devote our lives and each day of life to him and others, we are doing his will and we are also serving. This is pleasing to our Lord.
Let’s get out there
We can become lazy at times, and we can become pessimistic about life. We begin to have expectations of life that are not realistic and which in the end make us sad. To truly be happy, we must learn to serve God and others daily. But how is this done? It is done through prayer but most of all through action. Every day we have a choice to serve or not to serve. Only you know how you will answer that question.
To make a difference in the world is not particularly hard to do. We need to be kind. We need to be compassionate. We need to exercise good listening skills, and most of we need to CARE. Genuinely care. To make a difference we do not need to be rich, intelligent, or have tons of worldly resources. Use your ears and your heart and make a difference to those who need a friend and who need YOU. This is how we can all best get out there and make a difference not only for others but most of all for Jesus, our Lord. He is pleased when we serve the human family as it is the best way to love him too. Let's get out there and serve together as a Church!
