"Have Mercy on Me"
From the darkness of sin there is no sign of light
When the darkness of evil becomes the only light we see, this darkness will be so great there will never be a way out from devastating loneliness. This is the final result of a soul that will not erase the pride it has inherited from their trek to follow Satan with his attack on God.
Sacred Scripture is complete with warnings of a future period in human terms of an impending catastrophe that will be for those who do not take to heart the everlasting forgiveness and mercy God has promised to each person. No matter how often the Lord spoke through prophets regarding the final rejection of proud people using their attributes for anti-god prohibitions.
“If we say, we have fellowship with him, while we continue to walk in darkness, we lie and do not act in truth. If we say, we are without sin, we deceive, and the truth is not in us.” “If we say, we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (1 Jn. 1: 6, 8, 10).
Herein we already are seeing the thoughts contained in scripture condemning those who choose to walk their own path without adhering to the teaching from the truth found in script. From Isaiah; “Lo, the hand of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. Rather, it is your crimes that separate you from God, it is your sins that make him hide his face so that he will not hear you. For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt; your lips speak falsehood, and your tongues utter deceit. No one brings suit justly, no one pleads truthfully; they trust in emptiness and tell lies; they conceive mischief and bring forth malice. Their works are evil works, and deeds of violence come from their hands.” (Is. 59: 1 - 4, 6b).
Is it any wonder that those who are condemned will have no recourse, less the grace that comes from Christ who came to overturn these prophecies, are adhered too. We have all the opportunities God handed us before we were even born into human life. With all the graces that he has extended to us is ours to choose. Without them the darkness will overshadow our souls and the end will be worst than the beginning.
“Therefore, behold, I send to you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and pursue from town to town, so that there may come upon you all the righteous blood shed upon earth, from the righteous blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the son of Barachiah, whom you murdered berween the santuary and the altar, Amen, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.” (Mt. 23: 34 - 36). This may appear to be past history and a people who no longer are alive. This teaching will also follow us living today with the scenario in the condemnation of each one who does not adhere to this prophecy.
