My Soul is Tired
Recently I had an experience where a vision I was given during Adoration ended up coming to fulfillment… 5 years later!
It was delayed. I waited for it (sometimes well and not so well). There was hardship in the process of waiting. But it came eventually, and along the way my faith was increased.
Have you ever had a similar experience? A vision delayed? Then a vision was fulfilled?
I think that’s the overall message in today’s readings. God’s vision for our lives can seem like it’s being delayed at times, especially when it doesn’t come right away. It may require waiting longer than we want to. There may be hardship that we have to bear along the way. But if we have faith even just the size of a mustard seed, it will eventually come to fruition.
So what do you do in the waiting when the vision is not yet fulfilled and you’re losing faith or growing weary of waiting and discouraged? I’ll suggest 4 things:
Finally, always remember that God is doing something in the waiting, and He’s usually growing or healing you in ways you can’t always see clearly, that will aid the vision in the future. Hold on to that vision, wait for it, grow, and seek God along the way.
