The Autumn Leaves

         How many of us love to visit places and observe the autumn leaves and their beautiful, majestic colors?  We stare in awe at what Mother Nature has set before us.  I could now go into a rigorous scientific explanation of this phenomena, but I will not!!

         Basically, the leaves on the tree ‘die’ each season.  They fall to the ground and rot.  Then we humans must clean up Mother Nature’s mess with rakes, blowers, and lawn mowers.  This is currently keeping me extremely busy at this time of the year.  This is Mother Nature’s idea of a great upper body workout.

         Now getting back to the theme of this article, you now see what beautiful colors “death” in the plant world creates.  In heaven there is no “death”.  Will we be deprived of all the beauty of the autumn leaves there?  I do not think so.  Rather consider this.  If death could create such beauty in the plant world here on earth, what colors must eternal life create through the power of almighty God in paradise where there is no death?  That will be a joy to behold and without the strenuous upper body workout.  I really think that I am going to enjoy paradise with an even closer walk with God.

         Remember, all creation is groaning for their final redemption from death.  This is not for just humans.  When the Scripture says “all”, it means “all”.  This includes all animals and plants.  I am truly looking forward to the physical rule of Jesus here on earth.
